Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Where did it go? :(
« on: January 09, 2011, 10:50:53 am »
Hello

In this thread: http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4064.0 I had a link to a cinnamon roll recipe.  I came back today to see if I had the ingredients to make it (since I really feel like eating some) only to find it's gone :(.  I think it was posted by JulieO.

Can anyone help me out please?

Many thanks

If someone has a spare 5 mins can they please type/scan the Red Chicken Curry recipe from the EDC for me please?

Between my DH & youngest child the page has been ripped out and lost  :-)).

I want to cook it on the weekend & don't know it off by heart.

Many thanks

Recipe Requests / Apple slice
« on: September 01, 2010, 01:09:03 am »
Hi

I am wondering if anyone has a recipe, or could mash a few recipes together to make the yummiest apple slice I have ever tasted!!!

It was in a bakery where I lived last year (and sadly it is way to far to drive to get some).

The base was soft bread, the middle was like pie apple and the topping was like crumble (but no oats).

I want some so bad, but don't am not brave enough to make a recipe myself (I will happily test any suggestions though0.

Many thanks

Chit Chat / Balsamic Vinegar
« on: August 30, 2010, 06:58:17 am »
I have all most a litre of balsamic vinegar in the pantry (I think I brought a new bottle each time I wanted to try the EDC gravy recipe - which I didn't enjoy either time).

What else can I make with it or use it for?

Many thanks

Chit Chat / Best bread?
« on: August 22, 2010, 04:42:12 am »
Hi all

I am struggling to find the right time to make some bread. Is there one that keeps well or freezes well? That way it doesn't matter when it gets made it can be enjoyed before it becomes a rock! Lol

Many thanks

Chit Chat / Recipe work plans?
« on: August 09, 2010, 04:09:59 pm »
Sorry, had no idea what to call this...

Basically I was wondering if there are any dishes/tasks you do together to make things simpler?

For example the other day when I was making party food I made the vegan dips first and then without washing the bowl made the vegan sausage roll filling followed by (again without washing the bowl) the beef sausage roll filling.  I did this to save time and to minimise waste.

Also, are there two dishes that you cook at the same time to use up all of something (eg egg whites and egg yolks)?

Thank you
 :)

I think I'm lacking in this department lol.

How many do you have & which sizes/types get the most use?

Many thanks

Chit Chat / Best yeast?
« on: August 03, 2010, 06:59:08 am »
Hi

I don't have much experience with yeast. so have usually just brought a small box of sachets, but was wondering what is the best type/brand to use?  At the moment I think I would be looking at using it 1-2 times per week.

Cheers

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / HELP - No ice

Hi

I think I need to sharpen my blades today, but I don't have any ice.  Is there any other way to do it?

Many thanks

Recipe Requests / Light lunch ideas that comply with 'the list' lol
« on: July 22, 2010, 12:31:56 pm »
In just over a week we will be hosting our youngest daughters’ first birthday party.

I am really struggling with coming up with a menu...

Here is a list of the known requirements of those attending:
1 x Egg allergy (Anaphylactic & our eldest daughter - so no eggs in the house at all)
1 x Vegan, allergic to mango
1 x lactose intolerance
1 x diabetic
1 x celiac
1 x peanut allergy (Anaphylactic)

I would like to serve things that everyone can eat in the hope of making it easier but I am really struggling to come up with ideas.  Also the celiac is newly diagnosed so I don't have any practice with that side of things.

One thing I came up with was coleslaw; leave the dressing off and those who want it can add it.  But that is as far as I got.  :(

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi everyone

I have had my "Penny" for 3.5 weeks now, and love her very much (and have been stalking this forum ever since).

I have 3 children (6yo, 4yo & 10 months).

Not sure what else you want to know, but I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.

 :)
