I’m planting up some seedlings that I’ve grown . I’m also starting some seeds. Hope the weather improves in the next few weeks.
Yesterday 5 large young men, ( friends of GS) come and loaded on to a trailer, my large antique cast iron table and chairs. They gave up their lunch time to do this. I provided lunch. They demolished a large plate of Sausage rolls and  hash browns. Also Portuguese Custard tarts.

Cookie, the 3 books I bought are, Ottolengi Comfort, The Actually Delicious Air Fryer Cookbook and Countrystyle, Seasons.
Your books look interesting. I think you could probably write a Bread one.

Judy, that is so good.
Soup and wholemeal bread. The soup base is home made bone broth with added roast pumpkin and cauliflower. Also odd bits of veggies.
For lunch I made a stir fry. I roasted2 chicken Marylands with sweet chilli sauce in AF. I used the thigh , sliced and added it at the end. Silverbeet, celery and wasabi leaves from garden.

I’ll be having a crab cocktail and pumpkin soup. I’m lucky in that I have a crab processing factory only 10 minutes away. They sell 250 grams to the public on Thursdays for $30, enough for 4 meals for me and the dirty work has all been done.

That’s not good for business cookie, I would be appalled too. Is she the owner of the business or one of the staff, I’d be mentioning it to the owner if it’s the latter.

I had my hair cut today. I’ve started having it done every 4 weeks now. The girl that was doing it has left. The one that cut it today did a good job but was a bit foul mouthed. I don’t think that type of language should be at a hairdressers. (Perhaps I’m getting too old!)
I went to the same place for 30+ years and now I’m having trouble finding a good one. I think I’ll go back once more and see if it’s any better I do like the cut though.

Mab, that is so good to now know what has been causing all your trouble.
Had my hair permed last week. Washed it for the first time yesterday and now look like a Wooly Mammoth. Rang hairdresser and she will give me a blow wave today.
Yesterday went to a movie, ‘Thelma’ with Probus. About a 90 year old woman who was scammed and her effort to get her money back. This Probus group are a very nice collection of people who care about each other. I

Katie, I wait all year for the Asparagus season. I’ve experimented and now use a vegetable peeler and shave the snapped off ends and then slice diagonally.
I’ve grown a crunchy Chinese vegetable in my small garden. This added to Chicken stock makes a lovely soup. Also added sliced cooked chicken breast.
