First day back at Gym. Not as pathetic as I thought I’d be.

Did the shopping ! Up early filled the car fridges with ice blocks and did a huge shop . Aldi then coles and a little boutique food shop . Grabbed some lunch to eat on the way home ,  So so hot . Boys out harvesting the wheat , finery finished the oats. Wheat only good for feed wheat . I have to change shopping to do more often do it takes less time . At lest we will be having fresh vegetables and salad .

I had to go to Subiaco and parking is horrid over there so DH took me, dropped me off and then picked me up.
On the way home we stopped off at Jayco looking at motor homes. We’ve seen a couple we really liked.
This evening our air con gave up AGAIN. We have the new ones but the young man who is putting them in for us can’t do them until 8th and 9th Feb. it’s only going to be 41° tomorrow‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ We will survive, I’m not too happy with DH going up on the roof as he slipped last time. 😡😡

I feel for you cookie, your temperatures over there are horrid. So are you going to swap the caravan for a motor home?

Cookie, those temperatures are horrible, and such a long wait for the air con., it must be at least a month or more since you ordered it.  I surely feel for you.

Well done going back to the gym Chookie, it is something I must do again as well, but the motivation needs motivating!

Oh Cookie, that is awful. When we had air con problems last year we went for dinner at the local pub and just sat. I went supermarket shopping and pushed the trolly around for a couple of hours.
How about buying the motor home and living in it for a month?   I shouldn’t be so flippant as I know only too well how upsetting it is to be relying on people and you can’t get the service you need.

Thanks everyone. I think each day we continue melting is a day nearer to coolness.

Yes Judy, we will sell the caravan and one of our cars. We plan to buy a small Suzuki Jimny to tow behind the motor home.

Chookie that would be an ideal idea but unfortunately we will have to wait some time for the motorhome to be built and come over. Some people have waited almost 12 months. We will be going in to order it this week and discuss things.

The motor home sounds very exciting Cookie.  Are you able to customise it seeing as you have to wait for it to be built?

We re-open today for the new year and I am expecting it to be a hectic week, especially seeing as one of our guys has called in with COVID.

Cookie, is your Motor Home being built in Ballarat?

Marina, hope all goes well with first day back. Looks like Covid has raised its ugly head again. 6 cases in Base hospital in Ballarat. None in ICU.

Last night I joined a group of neighbours to watch the fireworks in Ballarat. Bring a plate event. Put on to try and placate population as Australia Day seems to be cancelled.

Doctors appointment and ironing.

Cookie motor home sounds like a lot of travelling ahead. Covid is tearing its ugly head , alot of people missed out on Christmas apparently.
Find canceling Australia Day is a bit sad .
While the men harvest I am spending alot of time alone , have to say it’s ok for awhile then it gets a bit hard . But yesterday I caught with a friend and it was so good to talk . Of course I had to rush off to collect dinner ( F and Chips local food truck ) a treat . But the trip was crazy picking up DS to another farm getting the food !! Dropping home to collect forks as they had run out ! Dropping off to DH who didn’t want to stop the header ! DS drop off was more interesting as he was moving the chaser bin in the tractor on the dirt back road ! The dust from the header made it more testing . I was planning to have mine in the harvester but DH was on a mission and no more stopping!! Now I get to listen to the lorikeets tweeting away, possibly eating all the fruit on the trees DH says they are so pretty.

Cookie a new motor home sounds very exciting.

January 26th will always be Australia Day to us.  We will do out own celebrations at home.  I could say a lot here but I would probably be banned from the forum so I will hold my tongue.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I would probably agree with everything you said Mab. 😀😀😀

This morning we went and got our 5th Covid vaccination. We then went and ordered the motor home.  I think they are made in Melbourne Chookie. Ours will be built in September and hopefully we will get it in October.  We have made a few changes and requests Marina.

This is a video of the motorhome we’ve chosen. It gives you a rough idea.

WOW!! - an over-used expression, but more than apt in this case.  That motor home looks fantastic, Cookie.  You will be so excited when it is delivered.

OMG Cookie, that is amazing. A long way ahead of  a caravan. What a lot of extra features.
Katie, hang in there, harvest time can be tough on everyone.
Yesterday day I got a very good report from the kidney specialist. Only thing he said to watch was the potassium in the stone fruit. Doesn’t go well with BP medication
. DS  and family take a beach house for a week at Barwon Heads each year. I’m  joining them for 3 days from tomorrow. DS will pick me up and bring me home.
GS is coming on Saturday to clean my windows.

That is an amazing motorhome cookie, what adventures you will have in that! You must have some very special trips in mind to go down that track.
Chookie I didn’t know that about stone fruit but I must say they don’t taste the same as they did in ‘the good old days’ when everyone had fruit trees. I’ve tried a few pieces of them but a lot of the time they aren’t sweet enough for me, plums, apricots and peaches so far fitting this bill. Peaches and nectarines sometimes ripen OK but often do not.  A nice trip away with the family sounds good to me.
I had my monthly cancer check-up yesterday, all good there. I took my recent hearing test results to my specialist for his opinion, it looks like hearing aids is the only option so he gave me the paperwork and wrote a letter to pass on to them. He had a laugh when I told him I’d be having my cataracts done by the end of this month - he enlikened my planned procedures to having a car serviced.
