Just caught up on this Judy, how sad. :-* :-*

Hope all is well, thinking of you.

Great you could catch up with the kids. Have a nice relaxing day today, and see Geoff and your Mum tomorrow.

Oh no astarra, it is such a special day for you all and if Daddy's isn't there, what a shame.  Hopefully he will be able to see the girls open their presents before he has to leave for work.  How come he only just found out, what sort of work does he do?

Judy, just caught up with this thread. Oh no, well on the bright side at least you knew & he didnt develop them when you were down there. That would have been terrible. Are you sure your not immunised?

Have a lovely day with Geoff & your mum :)

I actually know of 2 fathers who choose to work on Christmas Day - that says everything about them doesn't it?

Enjoy the hours that DH is with you tomorrow maddy then send him on his way with a nice little package of nibblies to enable him to get through the rest of the day.

Positive not immunised Hally.  It's all good, I've been out early to the shops for fruit and veg and the curtain rod I need to hang my new curtain.

So sorry to hear you news, what a bummer Judy, it's probably better that his chickenpox developed before christmas, and not while you were there with him. Enjoy your day with Geoff and your mum.
Astarra hope you DH gets to spend some time with you all.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Judy, just catching up on here and was so very sorry to hear that your plans have been cancelled.  What a bugger!!!!
Astra & Maddy I also feel for you as know what it's like to have to work at these special times and sometimes you just don't have a choice do you.
Will be thinking of the three of you tomorrow.

JD sorry to hear about your GS - Chicken Pox are nasty 😩😩😩

Astarra and Maddy sorry that your whole families won't be able to relax together tomorrow.  Unfortunately I have had to work on Christmas Day before, I think it's harder on the family than the person working!  But I've always known months in advance if I'm rostered on on. Xmas day so I think unless it is an emergency, your DH work was pretty slack Astarra.

My dad also worked a couple of Christmas days when I was very young! He started work at 7am but he still got to see us opening our Santa presents - we normally woke about 5am 😃😃😃😃

Hopefully you will get to have one meal with your DHs!

Oh no not the chicken pox :(
What terrible timing too. My lot got the chicken pox a few years ago, went through everyone except me  because I had them when I was 16 :)
Poor DH was so sick and not happy at all :(
