price increase
« on: January 13, 2009, 03:01:55 am »
TM Australia is putting the price up to $1939 as of 1 Feb, so tell your friends who are procrastinating  to get a demo done and get their machines before the end of Jan if they are thinking of getting one anyway

are they serious??

with all the talk of the economic downturn, and the only reason most people don't buy one being the price, they're insane  ??? :o

Same here in the UK - it's going up to £799 as of 1st Feb  >:(  I found out at my training last Thursday, and am not a very happy camper.  Apparently there has been no increase for 3.5 years, and they really need to do something to keep up with inflation.  In fairness, the increase (in the UK at least, don't know about Oz) is actually below the inflation rate over that period, so I guess I shouldn't grumble ...

Interesting, doing the conversions, that's about a $150 (US) difference between GB and OZ....  Wonder why.  Furthermore, the price here in the US is about what the OZ price is increasing to...   Maybe that explains why they're as rare as hen's teeth here.....

Why doesn't each of us let the others know when new books come out in English.  Often, if we know that they're available somewhere, the distributor in our country can get hold of them for us.  Failing that, we could always help each other out by posting them  :)

There's an Indian cooking book being developed by the UK TM team at the moment.  I'll let you know when it's out.
