Desserts / Re: More Brownies!
« on: October 21, 2012, 11:00:24 am »
I made this for the 3rd time today, gosh I love this recipe.

I realised after starting that I had no brown sugar, so I subbed raw sugar and it still turned out gooey and delicious. I also used coconut oil and cacao.

Thanks again for the great recipe!

Jams and Chutneys / Re: Chilli Jam

I made this 3 years ago when I first got my TMX, and today I can't believe I've left it so long before making it again.

So yummy, I want to put it on everything! I'll make a double batch next time. :)

Last time I made this, I used it as spring rolls filling. It was so tasty.

I have a gas stove so never thought of putting the Tmx on top of it, but on top of a wooden cutting board sounds like a great idea. I even have one I harldy use, perfect. :)

5
I worry about this too, but don't have anywhere else in the kitchen I could put the Tmx without having cords draping everywhere.

I just put it as far from the cupboard as I can and wipe the steam off when I walk past.

I make this with just the EDC vegetable stock concentrate, and use a good 2 handfuls of button mushrooms instead of the brown. It makes a delicious sauce, it's a family favourite here. :) Thanks Chelsea.

Chit Chat / Re: Thermomix App for iphone/ipad (RoboGourmet)

I think it's pretty rude to use other people's recipes without permission too. I would love a tmx iPad app but won't be purchasing this one for that reason.

Special Diets / Re: protein smoothie recipe request

I'm not sure about different definitions of protein but you could make almond milk first and then proceed with your other ingredients, this is what I do for dairy free smoothies.

I think I've read Quirky Jo mention using yeast flakes for the cheese taste in dairy free recipes? Perhaps have a search on her blog?

Bread / Re: Danube (filled bread rolls)

I wondered the same thing, Snoozie, before clicking it was the honey.

I did less honey too, 10g if I remember correctly.

I've just pulled these out of the oven, half an hour ago, and they're beautiful.

I fried up an onion, 2 slices of leg ham, 2 sm tomatoes, around 6 mushrooms, 2 cloves of garlic and 2 tbs of tomato paste and some italian herbs for the stuffing, it made lovely pizza filled rolls. Yum!

Thanks a lot for the recipe, Opi.

I'm not sure if my photos will work loading from a private FB album, but I'll try...

Cakes / Re: Choc fudgy wudgy cookies

Omigods yum. This recipe is sooooo yummy.

DP asked me to make him some cookies to take to work to show off the TMX that he's been bragging about. So I wanted something with macadamias and was going to convert a recipe but found this one and it's perfect, and wow these cookies are good.

Cakes / Re: Mini Balls of Berlin
« on: August 13, 2010, 08:17:59 am »
Isi, I made these little balls of delicious this afternoon. They exceeded my expectations, so yummy, and easy, and look fantastic!

I didn't have a special syringe, but my Tupperware cake piping tool worked perfect.

We did some filled with jam and some drizzled with chocolate. I halved the recipe and could have gotten away with halving again, i think! It still made plenty!
