Wow!! Elfin you put this up in March - Did anyone get back to you??? I couldn't find any other threads - tell me if there is. I just put this on to cook, converting it from my stove top recipe.
800g of green mango
1 onion
100ml vinegar
60g brown sugar
90g raw sugar
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp Marsala or spice
Chop up onion on speed 6 for 3 or 4 seconds. Add chopped mango, sugar, spices, vinegar. *: :-: ^^ for 45 minutes.
Will let you know how it turns out.
* I always put a breaky bowl over top with MC left off just off centre so steam still escapes but there is no messy spitting. ;)

Yep! -  ;) I'm very, very happy with that!!  ;D I wouldn't leave it 1 second longer or could start to stick. My mangoes weren't that green and didn't keep there diced form but I love it!

Nay Nay, is there a temperature for this? Can't see it. Have 2 trays of "spoiled" mangos (feeling pretty happy with $12 a tray and then he gave me another free!!  ;D )

I'm afraid my mangos don't get as far as chutney.

Well you would only do this with the wonderful mango if you had a tree or came from the land of mango or if you were really lucky to get a really good price for them.  ;)

I agree Nay - down in the south we only eat them and freeze them if we can get them on special.  If a recipe calls for mango chutney I just buy a small jar.

Fundj, that sounds great. mango chutney is particularly nice with curries. And not bad as a marinade on roast chicken etc. Yum! Will be looking out for cheap mangoes although very bad for the diet

Forgot to add that I made this last year and it was fabulous! Might have had to increase the cooking time.
Now do I do this one again or the other mango cutney recipe on the forum...?
