Lol Cookie, I have only put up a small table top tree this year, the GK's won't be here between now & Christmas so I thought I wouldn't bother. DH asked if I was going to put it up and I said you are welcome to do it, he declined haha.

we have a real tree. DH and DS decorated it. We buy the tree with a stand and water bucket already fitted on the tree. Last year we did the same and after a long shopping day drove home and forgot about the tree on the top of the car and tried to drive into the garage...$1500 in repairs to the top of the car later. At least this year the tree made it into the house without incident.

Yes we love the fresh pine scent of a real tree too Judy. But you only have to ever so lightly brush against them and you've got heaps of pine needles to sweep up. The tree skirt does help in this regard I suppose as you just gather the skirt, go outside and shake it all out. We should get some snow in January which will be nice.

DD your tree looks amazing and the winter village.

Mep your tree looks beautiful, love the garlands. Would be lovely to have the scent of fresh pine through the house.

That is a beautiful tree mep. I can't remember when we last had a real tree. I do remember the shedding pine needles.

We used to use Norfolk Pines as out tree. Then when they grew too large for the house we planted them on the farm. However the farm is no longer in the family so we have a pretend tree. (If it ever goes up).

Den I remember seeing your beautiful decorations another year. I'd love to do something like that but have grinches to contend with. It's beautiful.
