I only thaw, re-heat things or do my poached egg in the microwave Uni.

Uni, if only I had known I threw out a great stack of recipe books for microwave cooking only last week.  I only use my microwave/convection oven on the convection cycle, in fact I think I should use that instead of buying a air fryer.  When I was working the only thing I cooked in the microwave was a chicken in a oven bag.

Love my microwave. There are some great recipe books by Womens Weekly. I think most op shops would have them as they are a little out of fashion. What sort of recipes are you after Uni? and I'll have a look through what I have.
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/

Uni, the chicken was cooked in a oven bag with a packet of french onion soup mix sprinkled over to cover the chicken, if a large chicken use 2 packets of soup mix (not home brand)  Twist the end of the bag and tuck under chicken. Put in microwave dish and cook on high turning over half way through cooking.  Comes out like roast chicken & brown all over.  The bag does puff up in the microwave but is okay.  Watch out for steam when turning chicken.   Cooking time depends on the size of chicken. eg. The chickens used to be numbered when I did these so a number 14 chicken was 14 minutes each side.  Now a days that would be probably a 1.345kg as example which I would take as a number 14 . A 1.568kg chicken would be equivalent to 16 and would be cooked for 16 minutes each side.

Mine is used for reheating and defrosting mainly. Sorry I can't help.

I always do pineapple upside down cake in the microwave. Easy as. Sticky baked pudding too. You can do them individually in ramekins or in a silicon cake pan.
Steam most vegies, poach eggs, bacon between paper towel. Pasta bake is super easy in them microwave as it doesn't have to brown.
Things that don't need browning are all candidates for the microwave.  :)

Flourless Chocolate Pudding would be the only thing I actually cook at microwave heat. Mine is a convection microwave and I use the convection option quite a bit to save heating up the oven.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
