I made chocolate salami to take to work today for a Xmas treat.  Mine didn't look so much a salami, but more of a enormous king size poo!  My rolling a wrapping skills need work!  At least my workmates enjoy a laugh, and it tasted really good too!
:D :D :D :D :D :D

It's been appalling weather here were I live, 26cm of snow in 4 hours, so I cooked "comfort food", shepherds pie and banana cake.

Gotta love what comes out of the mouths of kids sometimes.

My almost 2.5 year old grandson was playing around with his food here the other day and I told him to eat his meat.  'That's not meat, it's chicken' he told me - too smart for me  :D
Children are so quick these days JD.A friend recently tried to discipline her 3 year old in the supermarket while she shopped.
On the final warning she scooped him up to take him back to the car, as she was leaving he decided to shout out loud" I want my Mummy"

My friends and I were doing canteen duty at school a few weeks ago and as usual, the kids were playing with the toys in the Out of School Hours Care room. My DS (who is 5 and may be even more in love with the TMX than me...) picked up a toy coffee maker for the stove (you know the sort that looks like two bits the same stacked on top of each other?) and he very excitedly says to his friend (who also has a TMX at home) "Look Ardy, it's a Thermomix!!!"

My distributor would be so proud... of course this is also the same child who, quite seriously, asked his grandfather if he had paid too much for his glasses, because next time he should go to Spec Savers....

That's so cute. :)

Very nice trees CC & Johnro.  I love that no two trees will ever look the same, and have their own personalities.

Does any one else loathe taking it down?  what is the correct date for doing so?
My friend packs hers up boxing day  :o  I'm afraid it takes me a whole lot more motivation to pack it all up!
I think you're suppose to take your decorations down on Twelfth Night, the 5th January.

Well it's posted and in full view, not very photogenic, I think the words "rustic' or "organic" come to mind :D :D :D :D :D :D but I had great fun dressing it with our Christmas baubles.
