I don't think I would like it either MF and I'm sure it would be OK without it.

Bump.
Have beetroot that I bought at Farmers Market, have grown some Horseradish so will make this.   Love horseradish and the TMX does a great job of grating it.  Made horse radish cream to have with roast beef and the cream makes a good sandwich spread.

I can't find any nice Beetroot round at the moment. They all look heat challenged. I love them roasted. I wanted to try them with goat's cheese on a pizza with the garlic sauce.

Cookie,  the beets from the farmers Market were very large and fresh.  $4 for a bunch of 3.  Each weighed 500g.  There have to be some advantages of living in a cold climate. ;D

That's funny Chookie. I love to eat cooked Beetroot like an apple so they would be lovely.

Is Maggie's recipe on the forum please? My hubby loves beetroot but hates horseradish.

Could easily leave the horseradish out.  Can't even taste it.   I would double it next time.

Maggie Beer sells her Beetroot Relish so I doubt she has a recipe out there for anyone to use past94x - I've looked and couldn't find it  :'(

Ok. Thanks for replying. Maybe I'll try the other relish and leave out the horseradish.

I'm going to try it too without the horseradish past94x but I did find this recipe of Maggies which, although listed as a dip, I think it would also make a great relish.

I think Thermixer's one is better.  It is more 'pickle' like.  I think that the beans in Maggies is more a dip.  Thermomixer's one can be sealed like jam in a jar.  Not so sure about Maggies,  probably better frozen.
