CP, I think I had about the same picture in my mind of how you looked as Judy had.  Lovely avatar, thanks for updating it for us.

When I get asked how much anything is, the rule of thumb is quote 50% less  ;)  ;)

I used to use this formula Maddy but DH is on to me now. He says he multiplies everything by my age and divides by my shoe size and it's probably a lot closer to the truth than what I've quoted. Gotta love 'em.  ;D ;D

CP, me too. Isn't it funny how we do get an image in our head and how wrong it can be.

Love it all.    Makes me feel very lucky.  DH said I should buy a TMX.  He liked the sound of the Chocolate custard.  Pretty expensive custard ;D ;D ;D

My sister who already owned a TM and I planned to cook up a feast for my DH and convince him through his stomach. It worked a treat he said we should get one straight away, but I decided to act hard to convince and said no we didn't need one (Just for fun) so he end up trying to convince me (When all along I really wanted one).
I had to wait a few weeks though as it was Christmas holidays and everyone was closed for the holidays. But on the 13th January my TM arrived. Was well worth the wait.
I'm glad my bit of fun didn't back fire though

He is coming along to the demo... Let's just hope the demonstrator is awesome enough!  As I have said, I live in Germany and the demo will be completely in German.  I may not understand every word (although hubby can) but I do know how to say "Ja" and "Ich will" and "Jetzt"  (Yes, I will and NOW!!!!!)  Lucky I have all my new friends here that can give me recipes that I can actually understand in English.  Are the instructions for TMX available online?  I really don't want to blow the machine up accidentally by misreading and translating the German into English!

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction  ;) ;)

If you want to have recipe books in English then you can always contact the UK Thermomix people (contact details at http://www.ukthermomix.com/) and they can send them to you.   There are a lot of nice recipes on their site as well as zillions of recipes on here

I suspect they would charge for an English copy of the manual but luckily you can find it here...
