Newbie from Canberra Australia
« on: June 21, 2013, 09:52:57 am »
Hi everyone .

My name is Felicity Prideaux - but most people call me Fliss..  I'm from Canberra Australia and I am the very delighted owner of a Thermomix for 5 whole days !!!

I love it !!!!!!

I think this forum is great - love the info and the help !  I have a really smelly lid and bowl from - garam masala, butter chicken and pâté !!  I think I have loved the bowl issue thanks to the forum and will soak the lid tonight !

About me - I'm married - husband is a fabulous cook but isn't sold on "thermie" yet ... I have pug dogs that I show and very occasionally breed and I m also an internationally accredited dog judge .  I'm  going to start 12 months long service leave from mid Sept so am looking forward to being able to improve my cooking skills .

Fliss

Hi Fliss, welcome to the forum.  It sounds as if you've been doing some forum reading, what have you been cooking so far?  Roll on September so that your time in the kitchen with the Thermomix will increase tenfold.  Have fun/

Thanks Judy !
So far, custard, lemon butter, pate, garam masala, rice, butter chicken, guacamole, tzartiki, and I'm just trying mash potatoes !!!  Of course the bowl and lid have absorbed the aromas so am having a bit of trouble there but I think the bowl is ok, now to fix the lid !!

Welcome Fliss. You sound as though you are really going to enjoy your thermomix. You certainly need warming foods over there at the moment.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

;D thanks everyone for the welcome !!

I'm not a very good cook so am enjoying making edible things !!!!  Yesterday I did the Shepherds Pie and as I had leftover rice from the Butter chicken, I attempted a recipe translation for a baked rice pudding using per cooked rice and the Thermomix to prepare !!!  Worked out well !!!

Today - pull a parts !!!  Fingers crossed !!!
