Lets just meet up one evening with our partners. Casual. Not the place to try and sell a TM if you are a consultant, it is NOT a networking event. As this is a worldwide forum the minimum number of posts that any member who wants to come is 500posts - please don't be offended if you are rejected for whatever, this is just to determine how genuine you are (and remember a "virtual stranger". If you are a newbie with less posts I will think about it)
VIP privilege ie. Gracetown Retreaters, can put your interest on this thread and instant acceptance, and of course all the old forum regulars. If you know of someone who was on the retreat or a on ldie member and hasn't been on the forum lately can you PM
We will be outdoors and based around wood fired oven. PARTNERS WELCOME. It will be BYO and a plate of some description according to numbers. Could ask you to bring your fave pizza topping, or a starter, or a dessert etc. TBA
Register your interest for either Sat, 15 Mar or 11 Apr (one day will be chosen depending on popularity)
(PS. I can offer 2 x Queen beds (upstairs) if anyone requires 1 night accommodation. BYO linen)

I'd love to try and make it. March is also our daughter's wedding, but I am in Perth the week following that for Country Week Bowls. Look forward to finding that date, CP!

......all related to change of principal - change for the sake of change - very co-oporate minded lady who replaced a beloved principal who went to great lengths to protect his patch and so deflect the heat coming from regional office away from staff. :(

Have been through a very similar scenario, johnro. Developed into an extremely unpleasant time. Good luck! I do hope the shaking, rattling and rolling settles down quickly. I often wonder why these corporate minded individuals aren't in business elsewhere . . . .

Robyn and Goldfish that is the reason I retired when I did. Had a lovely principal who had the schools best interests at heart. She became pregnant and was replaced with a "person" who was completely and utterly horrible. Self centred and her way was the only way. I'd had enough so got out. I haven't really regretted it, except occasionally I miss the interaction, but then think of reports etc and I'm happy again. I loved teaching but it is very hard work and the politics involved can be devastating.

Seems to be the same in nursing too. There is a bottom dollar line, more and more documentation. More handover expectations have just been introduced. Like teachers just want to teach, I just want to nurse - go in and look after my patients.

I would love to catch up with you lovely people again, (still have such great memories of Gracetown) but I will have my Dad staying with us from the UK. He arrives in early March, and will stay for 3 months. So excited to have him here ;D

The weather at this time of year is absolutely B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. and prime time to be outside. The company is absolutely primo and this night will be another highlight for the Thermomix Forum. We are happy to accommodate you if you require accommodation, and if you can give us as much prior warning if you require a bed it would be much appreciated, but we will have a spare bed made up and its no problem.

I do so wish I could come... I have to be in Albany on the Monday, so think that it's just too much to travel 3 1/2 hours to Perth Saturday then another 5 hours to Albany on Sunday, then 2 hours back to Nyabing Monday afternoon.

Across the road from our house, there is a little park which is probably the best place to park if there's no room out the front. When you get to the front door follow the path around to the side gate on the right hand side and walk around the back. I'll put lots of lights on so you don't trip over :D

DH and I have decided that with the impending rain likely on Saturday we are not going to have pizzas as it will be too hard to cook them. so we have opted for a slow cooked butt of beef and salads instead and hope everyone will like that just as much :D see you soon x

Sorry we have to cancel, poor crown prince has 17 bull ant bites, he fell on a nest at school. They have all swollen & his body is red raw, I dont want to leave him with a 17 year old in case they get worse.
He is not a happy camper.

We put savlon on but think we need to find something better.
They are on hs side & back, swollen & red raw, bless him. He is being very brave.

He may need Antihistamine. Ant bites are awful.

Poor cp Hally >:( he must feel so uncomfortable.
Good you used the savlon to stop infection but you may need something to reduce and stop the swelling. The chemist will advise.
Calamine lotion good for stopping the itch. Nasty little creatures

Typical...... They are sore Hally as my eldest DS did the same thing when he was around 7 or 8 and it was horrible.
Hopefully cp will be more comfortable when the cream takes effect. Poor little boy. One bite is bad enough never mind multiples :(

GHM my DH has had to rush off to see his Mother in the nursing home. She creates lots of non existent dramas so we will see what this one is. There is the possibility he won't be coming tonight after all, but I will. So there can be a couple of us by ourselves.
I am sure CP doesn't mind.

Really sad to have missed the evening. Missed catching up with you all.
On the other hand glad I was here for cp, he couldnt sleep, couldnt get comfortable & was not a happy camper. He got attacked on friday, seemed OK but woke up saturday very upset & whinces when I put cream on.

GHM we went down The Boulevard to West Coast Highway and then down the coast to Fremantle. Morning tea at Woodman Point and then on to Jandakot with lunch and our meeting at,the look out there.
So I would imagine it was us you saw. We had about 12 old cars and a few members who didn't want to get their cars wet so brought their modern cars.

The food was so lovely we were very full and lazy. The only photo was from Tenina on her facebook site of the desserts.
Uni has posted it on here. You can see why we felt that way. Great evening.

Yes all recovered now... he swore off the flu needle for a couple of days until I pointed out that if he was this ill from the jab, imagine how bad he would be from a real good dose of the stuff!! :-)) :-))

Some of us meet for a coffee occasionally Tash. I may be able to fit one in before I go away.
Otherwise it may well be in August in Adelaide.
We don't do anything thermomixy at all. It is simply friends getting together for a coffee and a chat.
