Just informing everyone that the word "bogan" has  been recognized officially in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Maybe I should go shopping in my flanneys and ugh boots today :)....actually my flanneys are covered in teddy bears and are my jammies and my slippers were stolen by my daughter a couple of years ago :(.....so that ain't gonna wurk :p....nothing like stereotyping :).

Actually that could be a good look for today. I want to go to super butcher if I get time and it is VERY cold in their cold room.

is it what!!!!  I've been known to wear Uggies to the Super Butcher.  I don't live that far into Logan to wear flannies!  That's a little further down the M1  ;D

Ugg boots and  the rubber thongs...my daughter used to go to gymnastics at the woodridge PCYC and I have never seen so many people in stubbies and rubber thongs in the middle of winter as I used to see when I went down there with her.  The people however were lovely and I never had any hassles in the seven odd years that she went there.  We are definately becoming very multicultural in Logan, we have the Kiwi's  :D in Rochedale, the Islanders in Woodridge/Slacks creek, the Indians somewhere near and across the road in Kuraby, an extremely large muslim population.  Its definately expanding the food choices in this area, now if only we could have a decent deli arrive.  The asian/indian food shopping is covered, but you still have to go further afield for good deli products.

my DH is a bogan and I have given up trying to change his dress style. He wears thongs everywhere and will not come with me to get him a pair of decent shoes. If we go out to a cafe he'll make an effort if I look at his feet and put on sandshoes  :-)) Don't think you can buy Stubbies anymore can you?

There is 'Plenty' deli at Eight Mile Plains but then you'd need to cross over into Brisbane to go there and I doubt they'd let you in.
 :D

Oh and yes there's lots of Kiwi's around here.  Even one in my house!   8)
