Tomato and red lentil soup, this is my favourite soup . Have to start making more robust soups to stop me loosing weight ! I know I should not complain . So thinking of adding some chickpeas and silver beet from the garden too.
Could add carrot and celery or even more lentils.

Nothing here. No one is eating the cookies I made and we don’t need any bread yet.

It’s looks very tasty Chookie. That’s what I like about the Classic loaf, SD with a bit of yeast.

I have a Classic loaf rising at the moment. Yesterday I made some Dried Apricot and Almond jam. It’s very nice.
The dark patches are where my toasted almonds got toasted a little too much.

Nice jam Cookie.  Apricot jam is my favourite.

Chookie, you feed your workmen well, they won't want to go home.

Chookie, you remind me very much of my family back on the Isle of Lewis ... if any workmen came in to work on the house or the croft over there, or if the neighbours helped bringing in the peats, morning and afternoon tea as well as a cooked lunch was always provided.  It is generally completely different here in the city, and probably in much of Australia (with the exception of farms, and our forum family, of course) where the workmen have to sort out their own food - although I did provide cakes and cookies for the guys on a Monday during our renovations.

No special cooking here today. We had roast veggies left over from last night so I made them into a roast veggie soup. So easy, add some stock and a few red lentils and purée it when it’s cooked.

DH doesn’t want to eat sweet biscuits at the moment so I have made a heap of crackers. I started out to make a half quantity then put the wrong amount of liquid in!! (The amount for a full mix) so I ended up with lots. I will pop the photo up when they are cool enough to handle.

Look interesting Cookie.  I made some small oat cakes.  Pretty awful.  Got sick of all the sweet stuff.
