Can anyone recommend a good chicken soup recipe please?
It's supposed to keep the cold bugs away, isn't it?
I'd love to make some.
Thanks, in advance, so much.

Chit Chat / Recipe Platform?
« on: January 02, 2017, 09:43:06 am »
I emailed the Recipe Platform (Cookidoo) telling them how much I loved their creme brulee recipe and asking if they knew when the automatic download of these recipes to the TM5 was going to happen.
They said it was being tested worldwide, but have given me instructions to do stuff in the TM5 settings, which I think would allow me to use this facility.
I have emailed them back to clarify if this is indeed so and whilst i wait for a reply, was wondering if anyone here knows anything about it??
It would be soooo useful, but I am loathe to try in case I mess something up, good and proper!

Chit Chat / Happy Christmas
« on: December 23, 2016, 07:12:40 pm »
Just popped in to wish everyone a very happy Christmas. I hope you get everything you wish for. My lucky niece is getting a TM5 from her husband. There's a lucky girl!
My TM5 is working overtime right now. What would I do without it?
Just made eight Amaretti Creme Brulees. They are sooooooo good, even though i say it myself. Good old TM5.

Chit Chat / TM5 problems
« on: October 03, 2016, 06:52:48 pm »
Anyone else had their TM5 misbehave and flash the screen, on and off quickly, light & dark????
My TM5 is about 7 months old and this is the second time it has had to be returned for repair. The same faults a last time.
Apparently, the repair engineer said that this fault - and the flashing of "reverse enabled" when I haven't engaged reverse - is probably down to a spill in the machine.
I can honestly say i haven't had this happen. I am fastidious about ensuring the pins etc are absolutely dry before putting the jug in the TM5. Nothing, as far as I am concerned has overflowed from the jug either.
I love my TM5 but this is driving me nuts. Any advice would be so welcome.
I feel such an idiot. I owned my TM31 for more than 2 years prior to this and had no problems at all with it.
Am I just being unlucky??

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Practise Mix Perfect
« on: September 27, 2016, 07:01:56 pm »
Just made the Apple and Blackberry Tray bake from this new book. Didn't have any Braeburn apples, so I used two cooking apples.
The result was so delicious. Irresistible.  Excellent recipe and one I shall use again and again.

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Quiche Lorraine
« on: June 09, 2016, 04:21:58 pm »
Just made this from the Everyday Cookbook. It was so easy - very simple pastry but very good. The filling took seconds and the quiche was absolutely excellent. Oh, how I love my TM5.  I made the Too Easy Chocolate Cake at the same time, also for the first time. It was very quick and is really lovely.
If you haven't made either of these yet, I'd really recommend them. I shall be using these recipes over and over again.

Recipe Requests / Proper Custard
« on: May 16, 2016, 07:25:14 pm »
I love proper custard. Does anyone have a really good recipe for custard using eggs etc, that really works??
I find some recipes produce a tasty custard but it looks a teeny bit curdled. Or is it just me?

Chit Chat / Got my baby back
« on: May 13, 2016, 06:33:20 pm »
Got my TM5 back today. It has apparently had a new processor unit fitted. I don't know this for sure because there was no paperwork enclosed, but the lady on the telephone told me, when I asked when I'd get it back.
Anyway, I have missed it sooooooooooooo much and tonight, to celebrate it's return, made a lovely cheese souffle from the built in cookbook. It was delicious and so very simple. Good old TM5. Welcome home.
