Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself - I ordered my thermie last week and my delivery is in two days!
I'd been considering the machine for a while but wasn't too sure, but then a family member very generously lent me hers for a couple of weeks. That was enough to convince me that it would fit in with the way I like to cook :-)
I'm hoping to use it mainly for quick weeknight dinners, breakfast smoothies, and the occasional sweet treat ;D I've ordered the Indian and vegetarian cookbook, so hopefully these will get me off to a good start. I've also ordered a second bowl set.
Looking forward to trying out lots of the recipes on this forum!

Hello Di, welcome to the forum. Borrowing the Thermomix was the way to go to prove one way or the other whether you liked it or not. What a lovely family member to part with her machine for a full 2 weeks, most of us would be lost without it for that long.
Have a try of some of our recipes on the forum too, you will be pleasantly surprised with the variety we have here and the reviews are very helpful.

Welcome Di. There is no surer way for someone to discover how useful the tmx is than being able to borrow one for a time.
There are enough recipes on here to keep you going for some time.

Hello and welcome Di ;D

Hi Di and welcome. Happy cooking.

Wow, that's really lovely that you managed to borrow one. I sometimes take mine to visit family, but can't bear to leave it there without me to look after it ;)
I'm sure you'll soon be making all those things you'd like, and much much more.
Have fun!

Hello and welcome Di. :D

Hi and welcome DI

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks everyone for the welcome! It has arrived :-) first stop: raspberry and lime sorbet (already had dinner tonight!)
We're having the mums over for lunch on Sunday (mother's day), so have a few plans for what I'm going to make.
Yes, my Aunty was super kind to lend me hers - but she was also overseas at the time, so at least wasn't missing out on cooking in it while I had it. Very trusting though!!!

Good luck for Mothers' Day Di, I'm sure the Mums will be impressed. Aunties are pretty cool aren't they?

Di,
What a wonderful Aunty you have! I'm so glad to hear you have your own Thermomix now.
