I was thinking of buying the book, now I don't know if I should wait. Wouldn't pay $120 though!

Does anyone know how long it should take to arrive in Melbourne once it's been dispatched?
My consultant told me a week and a half ago that it had been dispatched and should arrive within a few days, but i'm still eagerly waiting
I hope it hasn't run off looking to make baby thermies with Wonder's walkabout one  ;)

Mine took exactly a week from it being picked till my consultant picking it up at the post office.

I'm Malaysian so I love Beef Rendang. Did anyone find it watery? Traditionally it's quite a dry curry with a very thick gravy. My brother made it and it looked like soup :/

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Inaccurate Scales?
« on: November 15, 2014, 01:15:23 am »
I've never thought of that CP! Sometimes I'll pre-weigh on my other scales other times using the TM if it's something you pour in right away. Im a little iffy with the TM scales because you could get different results depending on how the power cord is sitting.

Great macarons. Where do you work? I saw one of the morning shows at a pasta factory in Melbourne but no idea which channel it was.

haha I work at the pasta factory! I'm the multimedia designer there (I design all the packaging, ads, website, etc).

I get all the free pasta I want... But I'm sick of it LOL.

Thanks everyone! There were 80+ in total! Today it was back to boring work though Sunrise came to film the weather segments here.

Do you have a trick to poached eggs, Gert? Mine never turn out. They tend to go everywhere when I pour them in.

I've had a Fitbit one for ages but my brother recently got one and we've been quite competitive with our steps some days. I sit at a computer all day at work so I struggle to get even above 3000! I get about 7-8000 only because I hope on the cross trainer after work most days.

I saw they've got 3 new ones coming out next year, 2 of them can read your heart rate.

Said goodbye to my TM31 today and hello to my TM5. I haven't made anything but the vegetable concentrate yet but loving it already. I can't decide what to make first!

I love Chai Lattes! I bought a Aldi milk frother just to heat up milk to make them. So far the nicest I've tried are the Bondi Chai ones but they're expensive, I've tried the syrup and the Arcadia one but still not as good :(. Probably not going to be able to find that one here in Melbourne, Bedlam. I might try The Prana one though!

It seems to be very hit and miss. Mine was paid for September 18th and Thermomix Australia confirmed last Friday it was "in transit" and my consultant has now confirmed the status hasn't changed  :-\ No doubt Thermomix will blame Australia post for the long transit, and they didn't respond to my email regarding the warranty beginning on the day of payment rather than the day of delivery but I'll chase that up once I get the machine.
Where a about are you? You ordered before me and mine came 2 days ago (mine was picked on the 22nd - 31 days after I placed my ordered and my consultant received it exactly a week later in Melbourne). I'm sure they have tracking so they have a better idea of how close it is to you now.

I was just about to say how jealous I was of you all getting your TM5s but my consultant just rang! Now to organise everyone so we can do a group delivery demo. My Aunt and I ordered on the 21st and she received them yesterday while brother ordered on the 22nd and it came today! So it seems they are going order.

I'm so excited!

It's a shame about the photography in the book. I love food photography (I love taking photos myself but not as talented as others out there).

Not sure how many of you have iPhone but there's a Phillips Airfryer app! There's some cleaning tips too  ;D and of course recipes!!

I'm with obbie, I wish I could have just walked in a shop to buy one. I don't like having to hold a demo etc and I feel there's more pressure to buy when there's a consultant because you don't want to have wasted their time and you know they don't earn a cent if they don't make a sale.

I was lucky and my friend held a demo and I bought my TM31 then, and my consultant was really nice so I felt OK holding a demo to get the Thermo Server. I did feel like I was wasting her time though because I wasn't sure how interested people I invited were, worked out in the end, I bought the TM5 as well as my Aunty and brother (so her time wasn't wasted at all!).
