Great news Chookie, you must be over the moon.  Nothing will stop you from doing those exercises that have given such remarkable results.

Marina, that is terrific about the hay fever.
I can’t believe this.  I haven’t had to take painkillers for the last 3 nights.  The very simple exercises that I have been doing, seem to be working. Another appointment with the Physiologist today. Twice a day I have been doing 2 simple exercises that take 5 minutes. I have pain, that has been increasing, in my lower left leg for 7 years. Drs all said , op, or injection and strong pain killers. This man said work with what we have got.  Develop the muscles to support the lower leg. Seems to be working.  So very simple.
Great news that your exercises are working.

We finally are getting some warm sunny days. I froze most of the light Brioche buns that I made.  Reheat beautifully.  Must make more as they are so handy  for a quick lunch.

It has been so cold yesterday, windy hail sun peeked out in the afternoon.

Cold again today, but who cares.  We are heading for Melbourne. Our lovely DIL has arranged for us to visit Costco.
Yesterday, GD acted as our taxi.  She drove us everywhere.  We also had lunch at the beautiful French Cafe at Creswick.

Enjoy your getaway and your trip to Costco Chookie. You can spend half a day in that shop LOL. The weather doesn’t stop us having a great time.

It's going to be 40 here today and I'm attempting Puff pastry.

I was amazed. It is Tenina’s recipe. You freeze the butter in pieces, then add it and some ice cubes to Bakers’ Flour. Blitz it and then knead it for 3 minutes as you add 2 tablespoons of vodka. I popped it in the fridge after every two roll outs. This evening I cut out the 2 circles I need for the recipe tomorrow. It all went well, so I hope it tastes nice.

Cookie, that is amazing.  When I read what you said about the temperature, I thought, OH no Cookie. !
We are in Melbourne staying at the Sofitel.  The impact of the shut down has really hit us.  We realise how we have been isolated from the real extent of people losing their jobs.  Most of the normal facilities are closed.  The remaining staff are on job keeper . We had dinner in their top restaurant with a time slot of 1 12 hours, but they made no effort to move us when we went over time.
We also went to Lygon Street.  Very busy but everyone excited that they are opening up. The service everywhere is amazing. It is 12 months since we were in Melbourne.
In Ballarat everyone wears a mask.  Not so in the city.
I should keep away from Readngs.  I bought a Vegan Meal cooking book. $15.  Has lovely recipes.

A nice break for you Chookie after so long.

Cookie, so interested in how your pastry turns out.  I've never made my own puff so no idea what the taste is like compared to store bought.  :)

Hope you are enjoying your break away, Chookie.  Around our area about 50% of people still wear their face masks on the street then 'mask up' when they go into a store.  We always put our masks on when a customer comes and offer them one if they don't have their own.

Did you notice many differences on Lygon Street?  So many small businesses have shut down near us and also on Bridge Road in Richmond - a huge number of shops are up for lease.
