Please I need help. My wife has a tm5. When doing the dishes the other day I thought I'd put the thermomix stuff back. Apparently I didn't lock in the cutting tool. My wife was going to make some mayonnaise this morning and stuff went everywhere. Gunk went under the bowl into what I think are the electrical parts. My wife said it's broken and won't talk to me.
Is it broken or what can I do?

Ouch. I guess the very first thing to do, after you have cleaned up the mess, is to test it and see if it still works. The little hole at the back doesn't run into the mechanics of the machine, it just goes out the back and perhaps all the mayonnaise went out there. (when you lift the bowl off you will see it on the base.)
There is information somewhere here on the forum about putting it either on its back or side, but I can't find it at the moment. I'm not sure which it is.

I believe you should leave your TM5 upright and leave it to dry out, maybe 24 hours, then see if will work.Otherwise contact HO for help from the service department.

We just let it dry out for about 2 days. Gave it a go and no problems
