Cashew spread
« on: November 20, 2010, 06:46:39 am »
Tried the cashew spread from the vegetarian book today.  Just waiting for it to cool and hoping it tastes better then!  I'm not a salt fan so maybe that's the issue, but l have to really concentrate to get any kind of cashew aftertaste.  Can see how this would be a yummy alternative to white sauce for lasagne - but if l try again l will decrease the salt to just a pinch and maybe add a few extra cashews.  2/5 for me.  Has anyone else tried this with nicer results?

Is that the one with polenta, that's like a butter substitute?  I like that one, but I must admit I haven't made it for ages.
