Witch Hats (with photo)
« on: October 30, 2011, 11:56:30 pm »

Ingredients and Preparation:

Ice cream cones (I used 20 cones)

Cocoa Biscuits (Remember to measure how wide the diameter of the cones are while preparing the biscuits and prepare them accordingly)

Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate chips

Candy Sprinkles, licorice

Çhocolate Sauce:
200g chocolate
40g milk

Prepare Cocoa Biscuits according to the related recipe without making the chocolate sauce. (I prepared 2 doughs and made butterflies and spiders with the remaining dough)

Prepare Chocolate Mousse according to the related recipe and fill into the cones. (I filled 20 cones)

Refrigerate for 4-5 hours until mousse is set. (You can prepare the day before)

Grind chocolate for 10 seconds on Speed 7
Scrape down the sides of TM Bowl with spatula and melt chocolate for 4 minutes at 50ºC on Speed 2
Put a little chocolate chips over the mousse by pressing them very gently and lightly.
Brush cones and biscuits with melted chocolate, place cones at the center of the biscuits forming a hat
    Brush over with chocolate.

Decorate with candy sprinkles or as you wish

Let them rest in the fridge for 3-4 hours

Enjoy...

Note: It would be very very helpful if you have a couple of assistants especially at the last stage where you need to stick the cones over the biscuits, brush them with chocolate and decorate them with candy sprinkles (I would find myself in a very hard situation without Stefano and Andrea to be honest!). This way you wouldn't have to keep your mousse-filled cones out of the fridge for a long time and you would also move faster while brushing with chocolate and decorating the hats

If your chocolate starts getting dense, warm it again. Despite the fact that we were three, we couldn't be fast enough so we still had to warm it a few times.

Definitely too cute to eat. ;)
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thanks CreamPuff, I made them work almost like slaves! :)

Seriously, without them it would be impossible to prepare so many different things!
