Have just come across this lovely blog and have this printed out and stuck to the fridge.  I used to make a lot of yogurt (along similar lines to this) but stopped for some unknown reason.  Must start doing it again!

The yoghurt looks great.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I really should make yoghurt - does anyone know how to make creamy rather that tart yoghurt? I think it has something to do with time but I've forgotten. I hate the tanginess.

The higher the butterfat content, the LESS TANGY the end product.

Using half milk and half cream will give you an end result that is  more like sour cream than yogurt.

Using heavy cream will give you an even milder result - flavor more like cream fraiche  or soft cream cheese.
