Baguette recipe that you also cook in TMX
« on: March 23, 2014, 01:26:19 pm »
I'm sure I came across a baguette recipe where you make the dough and cook it in the Varoma.....can't remember if it was on here on in a book somewhere but I can't find it now. I know there is one in FFS but I don't have that book so I've seen it somewhere else. Can anyone help?

Tasty the only one I know of is the FFS French Baguette.

I found the one I was looking at the other day....it's the one in 'My Way of Cooking'. I thought you bake it in the Varoma but it goes in the oven instead. In the process of making it right now. Sorry...some of my letters don't work when I type.

I've added them for you Tasty JD

Oh, that makes sense, Tasty.  I thought this was one of those "right brain / left brain" tests ... you know, so long as the first and last letters are there you can still read the words!

I haven't looked at any of the links, but I know Tenina demonstrated either bread loaves or bread rolls made in the varoma at a class of hers I went to a year or so ago.  Can't remember the recipe though.

I remember someone making a real baguette in the Varoma too but where or when I know not.

Talk about left brain right brain Cuilidh how about no brain. Seem to be losing it!

I knew there was a photo and I also knew I had tried it and it was successful but no way did it taste anything like a real French Baguette.

Does anyone remember the days when Hally's iPad (I thnk) took on a life of its own and we all had to guess what she was saying?  Looks like Tasty is following in her footsteps!

I was going to put the letters in for you Tasty but it is good for us. (I think). It has been proven that we don't need all the letters to read documents.

Hally's iPad writings were very hard to work out at times. Judy was clever at it. Spell check has a lot to answer for.
