Hi all....
My name is Lynne aka curly66..... I'm 46 and live in gippsland victoria....
I wasn't lucky enough to be able to have children but I have my furry kids who mean the world to me.. a 9yr old Rottweiler and a 2 yr old King Charles Cavalier is his companion...
I've lurked, read, commented and spent HOURS on here and got more information than my little brain can take in...
Thanks to the forum I have potential disasters diverted before they arise..
Have had my thermie for quite a few months now and love love love it....
Have made today, tomato sauce with tomatoes, the replica heinz tomato sauce, mint sauce, pies with the Gourmet Beef Casserole and Quirky Jo's fried rice....
Love this forum, what a friendly, helpful place to spend my lazy/cooking sunday in... (I've been reading for HOURS)
I've just had my varoma demo last weekend and am looking forward to the purchase of my price reduced second bowl...
I'm sure it will be a godsend as when I'm in frenzy cook mode I just want to do everything at once!!

Hi Lynne! Nice to 'meet' you!
You had a big day with Thermie!
I haven't attempted any sauces yet.

Hi Suzanne,
nice to meet you too...
I'm addicted and have been since the day it arrived... my consultant suggested I should be a consultant because I keep cooking and delivering food to my friends...lol
Its changed the way I do things and now I try and create all my own sauces because they are SO simple it is ridiculous...
It's like 'bung it in, press the buttons, walk away and when I come back I have sauce'... now that is MAD...lol

Hi Lynne, welcome to the forum, I'm in Somerville and used to spend a lot of time down at Paynesville when my DH was alive. I can send you up some GK's if you like I have 9. The second bowl is great even if you only use once in a while, just having it is a godsend.

Hi Lynne, it's nice to formally welcome you to the forum having seen your name around on different postings recently. You are going to have great fun and your friends will probably dub you the 'sauce lady', especially if you share with them.
You couldn't get anything more different than a Rottweiler and a King Charles Cavalier and I'd love to see them hanging out together. Before we had grand-kids, my DD2's 2 Cavaliers were our grand-dogs and we babysat them more than we actually do the GKs because the parents were able to go on lots of overseas holidays etc. The kids finally arriving put a stop to that but by then the dear little dogs had passed away - we have so many happy memories of them though. You'll have to post a picture of your dogs in the 'Our pets with photos' (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10992.0) thread. I even have a Brag Book full of doggie pictures - never thought I would be a Grandma to anything except these 2 darlings.
Enjoy your time on the forum, it sounds as if you are already.

Hi Lynne,
I'm fairly new too and so too spend hours upon hours looking through all the great recipes here. I had a Varoma demo a few weeks ago and got the second bowl deal too...I thought I'd have one kept in the cupboard, but they are both always out! It was a great purchase, you won't regret it!

Hi Lynne welcome to the forum.
I thought I could manage without the second bowl, but now I find it indispensable :)
-
thankyou all for the lovely welcome...
chrissa, your furries are way too cute!!
JudyDawn, they are definitely from one end of the spectrum to the other! My Rottie is particularly large for a Rottie, most recently on a trip to the doc's tipped the scales at 59 kilo. I had some seriously busy work time happening a couple of years ago and took the opportunity to get Bear a companion as I hated leaving him for so long. I've had Rottweilers for 25yrs, all dumped or from shelters, Loch's needed a home, and that's how we paired up..
for the first month Bear would look at me in disgust while loch's was hanging off his ears and bouncing off his chest and I swear his eyes said "you got it, why am I LOOKING AFTER IT"....... now they are inseparable...lol
Anyway I must stop, I prattle on about them way too much..
