I made this last night and I wished I read the reviews before cooking. It was a little tough, so I should have reduced the cooking heat. The plus side was DH and DS loved it.I didn't make the Creamed Lemon Feta as I used the cheese in my salad at lunchtime :D :D :D.I have some leftovers so it will be interesting how it tastes reheated.

Denzelmun I use this when I test my cake,
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/reusable-cake-tester/F/product/10711 and have good results with it, even though the reviews aren't very good.I don't know if you can buy something similar in Oz?

Chit Chat / Re: TMX mentioned in West Australian
« on: September 06, 2010, 03:04:32 pm »
I love to do the Cryptic Crossword in the West Australian newspaper (when I have time!!) and next to it is 'Recipe of the Week'. This week Margaret Johnson has put in a recipe for Cauliflower Fritters that she got from her friend Gail Kordic who she says is 'queen of the Thermomix'. She says she owns one, but chose to present the recipe in the more orthodox way.

I should write in and ask for the TMX way!

It's on page 8 of the Coffee Break section if you are a Perthite!
At least they could have printed the recipe with both methods.Maybe it would have intrigued some people to find out what a Thermomix can do.

Gretchen have a look at this recipe
http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/main-ingredient/meat/offal/lambs-kidneys-in-red-wine.html
The BBC did a programme about Delia Smith some months ago and they invited various cooks to comment on the influence she had on their cooking. One such person was Nigella Lawson and she said that when she was a student she cooked this recipe often, as it was so good and cheap.
I haven't tried it myself, as we hate offal, but I find a lot of her recipes foolproof.Looks easy to convert. ;)
Oops! found another,Fast and Easy Recipe Book, page 125, Kidneys in Sherry- Rognones in Jerez. Can PM you the recipe if you don't have the book. :)

Tonight for Fathers' Day I served up Moussaka (GF book), pizza, parmesan crumbed chicken tenderloins, Chookies rolls and from the freezer for dessert, Carrot Halwa slice and Raspberry brownies with evaporated milk ice-cream.
What a feast! We celebrate Fathers day in June here in the U.K.
