Today's meals were Pea & potato soup for lunch and Chicken Parmigiana for tea. Please excuse the messy photos, both times in a hurry to eat ;)

Nothing in the thermomix today, but roast butterfly lamb and vegetables done in the new microwave while trying to work out how to bubble wrap a trumpet so that it arrives in England in one piece.  Still love the microwave....not so fond of the trumpet or the son.

Why nor send it in it's case?  Tricky one if not protected . Not good if it is damaged.

It goes in its case and then the case is wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap.  The music department have insisted that anyone with brass instruments and woodwind wrap the cases.  Apparently when they have gone to england before a flugelhorn was flattened.  I don't think it will come back as well wrapped as it is going.

I'm planning to be a nice mother and make pancakes for breakfast with Herman, but that will probably be the limit of my cooking today.  Unless I find something that inspires me at the deli.  To keep on topic, dinner might be beef stroganoff in the thermomix if I get the urge.....otherwise the husband and daughter can have bonding time in the kitchen while she enjoys being an only child.

Flattened flugelhorns are not much use except as an art piece.

I so have to show that picture to my son.....hopefully it won't happen to him....his first performance is Monday in York.  No time to organize a new trumpet.
