Gone Girl is a must read Amanda. Casual Vacency too..

I am reading a Tom Wolf novel Back to Blood. Not a must read.  New Yorkers and people who live in Miami might like it and " get it"

I have been both and think it is a load of crap. Not the content so much which is a load of garbage but the way it's written.

Appeals to the lowest common denominator. Meant to shoot to the NY Time Best Seller list to sell the thing. Pity Tom Wolf  must have spent all his money on "coke".

Utter utter.

I've never been a fan of Tom Wolf.
Still ploughing through the very wordy Julia book - cannot start another until I've finished it.  :-\

Me too. It had very mixed reviews. I adored the Harry Potter series.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I rad the lovely bones and enjoyed it but it was sad.

Another good book club book is called The Danish Girl, about a man and his wife and what happens when he decides he should really be a woman.

Have you read Grishom's Playing for Pizza? It was a bit different than his usual stuff. I really enjoyed it.
