I loved Robert Carlyle in Hamish MacBeth but he is too short and not suitable for the role in my opinion"
Don't have any suggestions unfortunately.  :(

I just did a check. Jack Reacher is only 6'5" but is 210 lbs with a 50 inch chest so how about a  bulked up Hugh Jackman?

Now you're talking. I would pay to see that movie. Again. And again!

We need a tall and big with it actor. So far I like Nicholas Cage. I can see him in the roll.  Any others? I would like anyone BUT Tom Cruise.

I so agree!  It's heart breaking that Jack Reacher character has been given to Tom Cruise. I won't be seeing the movie - love the books.

You've got me interested in the Jack Reacher books now, I've just looked them up and there are so many - do I need to start at the first one? I was going to download a couple to hopefully read while I'm holidays.
