I need to make some soup for lunch.  Might make Minestrone for a change.

We enjoy minestrone. DH likes soups that aren't pureed occasionally. He says he can get his teeth into minestrone.

Also love Minestrone.  MKeing a Ratatouille bake.  Ratatouille on the bottom layer, then a layer of cheese sauce and then very thin potatoes crisped on top.
Also Pear Pud that I have posted.

Yesterday I made these unusual jam tart things. I had some pastry left so today I made some normal ones.

Interesting little jam tarts cookie.
I am having a day in the kitchen.  So far I have made Massaman curried meatballs for dinner, a lamb casserole, braised steak and onions, a loaf of no fuss bread , it's just ready to go in the oven and some vanilla slice.  After lunch it will be a chicken casserole of some sort and then use the carcass for stock.  After all that I might sit down and read. :)

Yesterday I made 11 jars of Lemon and Carrot Marmalade. ( posted). That is 3 lots in the TMX.
On Thursday the local Bowls club is holding a Long Morning Tea event.  They have a table to raise money for charity.  I will take some Marmalade.
I have finished the cooking for the Hospital tomorrow.

I have my SD rye starter loaf out of the fridge rising ready to bake later today. We have almost run out of the Jam Tarts and citrus curd tarts so I may make some more goodies.

Cookie, the tarts look very nice.
Reading through foodie trends, I noticed Rodney Dunn is dipping potato cakes in SD starter and frying them.  Sounds interesting.
Also , the shells of prawns deep fried and then ground with salt.

Inspired by Rodney Dunn, this is what I made. Better than potato gems but not really potato cakes.  Will post recipe as they were good and will reheat well in AF.  Made 1/2 with parsley and chives and rest added 1 teaspoon of K FC spice mix.  The plain ones are nice dipped in sweet chilli sauce, or Mushroom Salt or Kaffir Lime Leaf Salt. Yes, I tried the lot.!!!
