Den you should be too fit and healthy to get sick - hope you feel better very soon.

Show was awesome today. DS5 and DS3 had a great time. Animals, machines, a baby crocodile, show bags and rides. And no junk food consumed! Won first prize for my unbanked slice and carrot cake and second prize for cupcakes, lemon curd and savoury muffins. Scones failed dismally I need a lot more practice (or a few trade secrets). Time for bed to rest weary legs.

Well done Kim  8). We went yesterday, I didn't take much notice of the place getters names....should have looked harder!
I might enter some things in next year...never have before....do they put all the info on the web?
It was quite hot, so there all day, then cricket till 8 pm....was a long day!

tonight were off to the local for dinner..as they are having a sheep shearing competition in the car park later on with the competitors from the show.... :-)) :-)) :-))....yes I am rolling my eyes heavily, it's  not my choice of evening viewing pleasure, but  at least I know they sell my favourite beverage.....and it's cold & bubbly & makes me happy  ;D ;D ;D
.........EAT CAKE!

Maddy you must enter next year. Have seen your cupcakes and they are first prize hands down. Yes info on the web. Join their mailing list and they will send out show guidelines in June/July next year. Only $2 per entry so a bit of cheap fun. Aren't we so lucky to finally have some good show weather. And they have forecast 27 for cup day next week!

The problem is when you push your self hard your immune system copes it.

Den, I hope you feel better soon.  I'm sure you got better things to do than sitting around waiting to recover.

Well done kimmy You had a beautiful day for the show and how fan to have won a prize just to round out the day nicely.

I'm surprised you don't enter Maddy.  There wouldn't be any competition against your sweet delights.  You have inspired me to get back into cake decorating.  I used to decorate wedding cakes but haven't done it for years and gave away all my tools. I've recently gone out and bought a heap of piping tubes and cutters etc. to make decorated cookies and cake pops.
I do the best I can

Went for a drive to Mole Creek to pick up 3 female cockatiels. The lovely lady gave DS (6) a canary for free because she though he was so cute and polite :)
DS was over the moon with his new pet. I didn't really want a canary but what do you do? We have put him in the aviary with the cockatiels so I guess he can't hurt too much. :)
