I taught a neighbor to make whole meal bread. It’s the first time I’ve been unhappy with the result. I’ll see if we can have another go.

I’m having trouble getting my SD to rise as it’s so cold here. I try all the ideas I know. I’m mainly doing yeast bread at the moment.
I did my grocery shopping this morning.

All rather tiered but I managed to lay out my clothes and trying to get organised for our holiday . DD with us too . So all I’ve done in cook to fill them all up . Trying summer clothes on in freezing cold is not so great . A few days up north will warm us up .

Thank you everyone we are now in PDouglas ! After an extremely long day yesterday. Stayed in hotel be Airport as early flight 4.15 am up 5.10 at Virgin ! Flight cancelled, no info , lined up and I was not impressed. Apparently the next flight was same time next day 😳after much angst DH contacted Quantis ( service lady gave a tiny printed phone no to contact directly, no sales desk at airport !!) paid a huge amount to leave at 9am . We were dotted though out the plane but DH and I had the first seats after Business class lots of leg room . Adopted a little girl seated between us . 3 of us had window seats . Before We meet a lovely elderly couple before flight talked for hours . Hire car is huge and only made it to Trinity beach to eat prawn pizza and lots of water . A very tired family but a good walk to check PD out and a very nice meal fresh fish all around . Soaked in a huge bath bed sleep .

I'm pleased that things sorted themselves out KAtie. Port Douglas is an amazing place. I prefer the bush to somewhere like that, but if you just want to relax it is beautiful.

That must have been a very unsettling and disappointing start to your holiday K Atie, but glad you made it in the end.  Enjoy the break.
