She probably used chicken fillets and I still maintain thighs are more succulent and don't dry out as much.

I've done this one before and the hardest part was mixing the coco pops through the melted choc and butter mixture.  Now, our wonderful TMX can do all the work for us.

Soups / Re: Creamy Pea Soup (without cream)

The soup was lovely but it gave us so much flatulence ;D ;D ;D ;D that I decided I had better not serve it up to visitors.  Then to top it off, they rang to say they are sick so I don't even have to think about food for guests this weekend now.

Wow, these picnic parties sound great.  We hold our picnics in public parks, never in our own backyard.  Maybe we just call our gatherings at home BBQ's . Nice of you to check in - nice to know where people are and that they haven't fallen off the planet.

Hey Thermomixer, that wouldn't be enough liquid would it?  Using Bron's 1.3 litres makes a gooey mixture, the lesser amount would be too stiff I would have thought. I have my washing machine going as we speak so will post my verdict later.

I woke this morning to find all your postings.  You know what that means - I am going to get nothing done this morning ;) ;) ;) until I have read them all.  This forum is getting busier and busier - soon I won't have time to sleep!  What you guys get up to when your DW's go shopping :D :D

Chit Chat / Re: What are you cooking today?

The Gondola on the Murray series chef was Stefano de Pieri and he used to cycle his way around Mildura to friends and relatives places and cook something at their house in their huge kitchens. It was one of the most interesting cooking programs I have ever watched - European people do so much more than we do.  Mind you, I wouldn't have eaten half of it ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  He cooked the nettle pie and many other strange concoctions but any Italians I know are just into their pasta dishes.

I made Karonjulie's apricot slice again tonight but made it half with apricots and half with apple.  Didn't read the recipe correctly and creamed the butter and sugar, mixed in the flour and then realised I should have had the eggs in with the butter and sugar.  A very forgiving recipe - it let me add them at the end and still turned out well. ::) ::) ::)

Also made Bron's washing machine liquid - that was fun.  Trying it for the first time tomorrow - still not sure how much to use.

Thanks Riv Mum, nice to see you trying something different.  I made a little note in the book to do this one in the future.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D What are they called - just a front loader maybe.  Anyway, I'm sure Bron will work it out what I meant. You have a quick mind for this time of the morning Karen :D :D :D :D

Bron, have you got a front end loader?  Mine is a top loader so there is no compartment to put it in.  I think the front ends use less than tops, don't they?  If I can get the soap when I go to the shops this morning, I will be making this later today. Does it froth up?

Oh well done I Love Bimby - what a big day it was for you and I am so surprised that only 13 people turned up.  You did so much ground work beforehand & you deserved a bigger crowd that that.  You can post anything that isn't in the book, it all sounded yum to me - I would have loved to have been there. Thank you so much for the detailed description of your efforts.  I'm sure a lot of the girls are going to enjoy reading it, as I did.

So, would you girls suggest we cut down on the salt a bit? It wouldn't last as long but you could always freeze it in ice trays.
