Title: Winter Jam
Post by: thermilover on June 03, 2016, 12:20:42 am
Any advice on what jam I can make in winter?
I want to gift two of my friends with a jar and not able to make up my mind what to prepare, any suggestions?

What fruits are in season at the moment Thermilover? Frozen fruit works too.My friends love it when I make Lemon Curd (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4257.0) for them. ;)

That's the lemon curd recipe I am using at the moment, amazingly quick and easy and it tastes great too.

Of course, lemon curd doesn't last as long as jam, but that's no problem, once you start eating it you can't stop!

I sometimes make dried apricot jam in the winter months.

Thanks CC, marina n Cookie... I ended up doing CC's lovely Peanut butter bonbons and they taste soooo yumm!!
But will probably still go ahead and prepare some jam as I am running out of strawberry jam I made in summer..

Cookie, can you please share the dried Apricot jam recipe which you make?

You could always try Jeninwa's Strawberry Liqueur Conserve  (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11569.0) - many of us can happily  :P attest to it's success!
