So I thought we might start a thread where you can post a bit about yourself so secret santa can learn all about you. I thought it might be fun to do 10 questions and we can all learn a bit more about each other - if you don't want to answer the question but just want to tell us about yourself that's fine too.
1. Sweet, Savoury or Spicy? Definitely sweet, preferably chocolate
2. My favourite type of cuisine is : Middle Eastern
3. My favourite beverage is : Red Wine (alcoholic) or Lemon Lime Bitters (non alcoholic)
4. My ideal holiday destination would be : An island in Fiji with a butler and nothing at all to do.
5. My favourite TV show or Movie is : Rake (ABC)
6. Summer or Winter : Summer - relaxed days down at the beach, picnic food, eating dinner outside in the backyard and MANGOs - what's not to love?
7. Favourite colour : Red and orange (but not together)
8. When I'm not cooking I'm : taking photos - you wouldnt know it from the quick iPad snaps I put on here but I love photography and my next purchase is a Macro lense for my camera - nearly as expensive as a thermomix!
9. Something I want to make in the thermomix but haven't tried yet is : sourdough - the thought of making a starter and feeding it sounds like more work than my two year old but I love sourdough bread and we buy a loaf from Sonoma every weekend for lunches.
10. I'm allergic to or really don't like : seafood and pork

10. I'm allergic to or really don't like : I’m vegetarian, but DH is lactose intolerant and severely allergic to pine nuts so I tend to have to cook vegan.

3. But I do have an allergy to strenuous exercise (hence my expanding waistline) I really should do less of number 1 & 2 then number 3 wouldn't matter as much.
Oh, and I dont 'do' LYCRA! stuff should be banned - dreadful fabric!!
But I love life, love & adore my family & friends and don't mind surprises.
This is soooo exciting - the fun has started already xxx

I love spicy or savoury foods, don't do sweet but DH and misses 3 & 21mths do
I am allergic to nothing (apart from Amoxillician, but I don't think that links here!! ;) )
I will try anything once (food wise I mean)
My ideal holiday would be in NZ bungy jumping (my dream since a kid, to bungy jump...but Dad told me I could once I got married and was not his responsibility anymore, now DH says "No way" :( )
I love surprises and totally agree with Gerty.... it is the thought that counts!!! :D

I'm just happy to get a surprise parcel in the post! Not allergic to anything, although I am sensitive to soaps so tend not to use them - but my kids do.

2. My favourite type of cuisine is : prob french but no true fave.. Love so many.. Whatever gets the taste buds going..
3. My favourite beverage is : Vietnamese ice coffee.. Been spoilt for champagne and wine over the years but loved the ice coffee they make when we were in vietnam last year... Nothing like ice coffee here at all and made using a kind of italian type expresso maker thing..
4. My ideal holiday destination would be : changes all the time.. Always somewhere new... Im definately not a creature of habit regarding travel
5. My favourite TV show or Movie is : not really obsessed by tv or films..enjoy watching different shows but could take or leave it
6. Summer or Winter : definately summer.. Had enough winters to last me forever

I'll say upfront I loved surprises and given the spirit of the game I'm sure I will loved anything my secret Santa gives but here's a little help.....just in case.

5. My favorite movie: I don't really have one, rarely watch movies and then when I do I don't remember them well enough.
6. Summer or winter: Winter, definitely. Summer for the warm nights and being outside and winter for being able to rug up.
7. Favourite colour: Dont really have one but would probably say a nice cobalt blue
8. When I'm not cooking I'm: Browsing the forum, surfing the internet, staying fit, time with family and I had to say it but work takes up a huge amount of my time

Apologies everyone, I've just had a lovely 3 week visit frm the parents and haven't really been on the internet.
Any gift I get will be wonderful - I'm just looking forward to it *grin*. I was planning to send mine via the parents when they returned home - but that sort of hasn't happened :) There was a lot of buying happening here on their trip ;D
Anyway I will be gifting something lovely from Thailand - unfortunately it won't be a homemade item - but I hope the person that receives the gift will like it.

Dear Secret Santa, so sorry I am so late with this but I have been rushed off my feet. As well as all the normal stuff, I have been going through bathroom renovations, selling a house interstate and last but not least, I have work :). . . So better late than never right?

Mine is too, it's interesting to see what we wrote isn't it? I still like Moscato don't I girls and don't eat those funny meats but I do watch more TV now that I'm on my own and at the moment I prefer savoury to sweet.
