Spoilt the girls today with freshly baked buns (still warm) and ham and cheese (+ lettuce for miss6), I had mashed egg on mine. They said "fresh buns, yum - we should have these every day."  :-))

We had pancakes....am having a couple of days break from green smoothies as I think there is a tad too much fibre for DD(age 2) iykwim :o

Oh dear Jamberie :o :( Are you still putting the pear in your smoothies? That is probably adding the most fibre, so you could try leaving it out... :-\

We only occasionally have the pear... I'm thinking I might pulverise the smoothie for 30 sec at the start then pour our a small amount to strain for DD...she loves them so much I feel guilty having one and not sharing!

I threw a couple of slices of my Paleo Pumpkin bread into a fry pan and toasted then ate it with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Sounds like you are really enjoying your green smoothies Amy :)

I had a smoothie too, but this one wasn't green -1 banana, 250g milk, 100g yoghurt, 100g strawberries, 1 Weet-Bix, 30sec/Speed8 = yum! Next time I'll only use 50g yoghurt and I'll pulverize for 1 minute, to make sure the Weet-Bix is fully processed. Or if I have time, soak the Weet-Bix in milk for a few minutes before adding all ingredients to the TMX.

Why don't you whizz the weet-bix into crumbs before you add anything else? ;)

That's a good idea too....maybe I'll wizz the Weetbix first, then add milk and leave it for a bit then add everything else...so many experiments to try!

Jamberie, check out my Breakfast smoothie using most of those ingredients you tried - those times work perfectly for a smooth smoothie with no sign of the weetbix.

Thanks for the link Judy...I only used speed 8 for 30 seconds (impatient me)...so I'll combine our recipes tomorrow and see how that goes, my combination of ingredients (I can't have milo/chocolate at the moment) and your wizzing times and speed :)

You could try adding dates instead of chocolate Jamberie. I have date puree in the fridge all the time for sweetening recipes.

2 cups of pitted dried dates and 2 cups of boiling water - soak for 5 minutes and whizz in TMX until smooth.

If you don't have any puree on hand - just soak a few dates in boiling water - you don't have to just a bit kinder on the blades.
