I usually have a small bowl of home made muesli with a couple tablespoons of natural yoghurt along with a boiled egg (fresh from our own chickens) and a couple cups of either black or green tea. We have our brekky on comfy outdoor recliner chairs watching the birds on our block, it's a relaxing start to the day.

Looked in my fridge this morning and found we had 7 dozen eggs, so we had eggs for breakfast in varying forms today!  :)

We get 2 doz/week from BIL, but have been given a few extras lately too - all fresh laid eggs!  :) Had not realised we had so many tho!...maybe they are breeding themselves in there!!  :)

;D ;D  Wish we had that problem - we have two ladies (of leisure, at the moment. it seems! - no eggs) who usually lay fairly regularly.  But I'm convinced that we have a resident blue tongue lizard who has been extremely well fed!  It's been a race to the coop to get an egg before it appears later with a large hole in the side and sucked clean.  At first, we thought one of the hens was having a go at them   . .  but now I'm not so sure. . . the damage is the same each time - the damage quite consistent.  Next step is to "lizard proof" the laying quarters with chicken wire (what else? :-)) )  underneath the coop etc. and see what happens . . .

Goldfish, try boiling an egg, carefully remove a little bit of the top, take out some of the boiled egg and mix it with curry or chilli, then replace the top and put it back in the nest. Dad used to do this when we had blue tongues eating our eggs. (in the days of dinosaurs). The blue tongue will hopefully 'hot foot' it out and never come again.

Cookie I tried something like that to cure a hen from eating eggs. She seemed to enjoy it so I gave up. If I ever figured out which one it was I would have been like the queen of hearts from Alice in Wonder Land. Off with her head.
