OK - I have searched the forum and cant seem to find anyone else with my problem. I have only used my bread mat once and the dough stuck to the mat (a lot) - it was very painful to get all the dough off the mat. Am I supposed to oil the mat? Has anyone else had this problem?

Nope I have not had this problem. Does your dough need a bit more flour? If you roll the dough in a ball and around the mat it will pick up all the bits.

I would think that your dough was probably too wet. I test mine when it is kneading.
After 10 seconds of kneading when the TMX stopped I press the dough through the hole in the lid - your fingers should come out clean, if there is dough on there then add a little more flour.
There is a discussion somewhere on here with that tip from Quirky Jo (I think) - I will try and find it for you.

hmm maybe I was wrong ...
here is the link though ;) ;)

BigT Cup, I also think the problem is the dough not the mat. i have several silicon mats but the TMX one is the best. A good sprinkling of flour on the mat may help.

I always use a bit of flour on my mat. It doesn't need as much as other mats but still needs some.

cookie your dough is too wet too then lol :D :D :D I never use flour, unless I have forgotten to check the dough when it is kneading. You would make too much of a mess if you used flour on the mat at a demo ;) ;)

faffa 70, like cookie I like my dough on the soft side, you can always add flour but water is more difficult. We also have the luxury of not having to do a demo. ;D ;D ;D
