I've copied Wendy and have the HCB in the fridge.

I'm now trying to make Tenina's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. I'm not too sure how things are going as at times the chocolate looks seized.

The hot cross buns are very nice, but I think I like Chookie's recipe the best. They were certainly tasty with the overnight rise. I didn't glaze them.

The Peanut Butter cups worked out well too. I haven't had one but DH and DD gave them the ok.

They look good to me cookie. I don't really like the glaze, it makes them so sticky yet the ones you buy aren't so what do they use to give them a shiny surface I wonder.

That's the reason I didn't glaze them Judy. They all stick together.

Cookie. They look good.
Wendy's buns weren't sticky. She said she glazes them before but not after baking.

Oh, that's an excellent hint, thanks Chookie. I will be doing more so I'll try it.

I made this recipe for Persimmon Cookies in the Thermomix tonight http://whiteonricecouple.com/recipes/persimmon-cookies/.
I've just eaten 3, one of those moments when you wonder if this one will be as nice as the last one you had. My persimmons went soft before I could eat them so were perfect for this recipe.

Nice baking Cookie & Judy.

Yesterday was pie making day.  3 meat & mushroom pies, 3 meat & veg pasties, 1 apple & raspberry pie.  All except the apple pie are in the freezer.

I didn't know you could make persimmon cookies Judy.
That must be handy Margaret, just remove a pie from the freezer. Do you make your own pastry?

There are lots of persimmon baking recipes on line cookie, I prefer to eat them as is but this lot got away from me and turned to pulp before I could blink.  These were a soft cookie and I do prefer a crunchy one but they're quite nice with the spicy flavour.

Yes Cookie I usually make my own pastry, although I do cheat occaisonally. :)

Yesterday I made Chookies Hot Cross Buns and forgot to add the crosses.  I glazed them with some left over apple jelly, nice and sticky now. :D

This morning I made a large Vegetable Lasagne.  I'm trying to eat less meat and more vegies so am trying out all sorts of ideas.
