Recipe Requests / Unripe plums
« on: January 17, 2015, 11:49:47 am »
Hi folks. Last weekend my husband passed on a gift of many kilos of I ripe plums. They might be damson plums. Green with a blush of burgundy outside and sour and green inside.

I've been googling and hunting around here for different ideas but the time has come and tomorrow I Must move them off my to do list.

Does anyone have a 'must try' recipe to make use of these delights?

Grateful for ideas.
Theresa.

Bumping this recipe. We were given steamer baskets for a wedding present 10 years ago and still haven't opened the box. Time to check the size.

Having just come back from a week in Penang, I was amused by my husband suggesting he felt like noodles in broth for dinner. Earlier the same day I had tagged this recipe.
He actually scored glazed ham salad and mashed potato with extra veggies.

I interpret the 1.5kgs of beef stock to be bone broth. Means I'll be ticking bone broth off my bucket list before I begin this recipe. It looks delicious.

Green seal is hard work. Kind of looking forward to electronic locking now. Arm healed well. I have a tegaderm film on to protect the more sensitive skin. Looks like I've escaped the scar. And all the meat got eaten!

Thanks for the warning re the blades. With my recent luck I don't want the new toy to hurt me as well.

Apparently tmx has deposited $100 in my account. Some soul processed my purchase the week after I ordered it at the new price. Glad my husband picked it up straight away.

I do happen to need a green seal but it wasn't the seal at fault. My own stupidity. Much better today. Thank you.

Loaded up on painrelief now. Will know more tomorrow about how much impact it will have on my working week.
Could have been a lot worse.

I thought today's pickled pork fitted the basket. Didn't factor in enough swelling. Turned tmx into a pressure cooker and currently sitting under a tap in casualty. Ouchies

I ordered mine finally on Friday. I figured waiting a bit longer to wait 8 weeks was fine with me. Maybe they will catch up.

I asked about paying with Amex and was told there was an additional cost of $50 payable to Amex. Now I'm pretty sure that isn't going to be a separate receipt from Amex so I'm not sure how silly they think I am.

My consultant has another 3 weeks at the whole foods cooking school in Perth so I'm hoping for lots of lateral discussions at any future demos.

Hope the lurgy leaves you soon Gert.
Fenix, I'm craving hollandaise whilst traveling between Bathurst and Wagga Wagga.
Wonder, your situation reminds me of the Christmas I ordered a trampoline from the manufacturer 3 months out with delivery the week before Christmas. The net, matts and tie downs all arrived in separate dispatches but the trampoline never arrived. We ended up buying another one in town on Christmas Eve but it was a horrible fuss and bother.

Apparently the courier couldn't travel the 6 km out of town to pick up the surplus components either.

Hopefully TM5 is ready for Christmas.

My cPAP machine has a push and dial control panel so I am practicing with that in the interim.
