Hi everyone, I'm in Brissie as the title says and I'll be getting my thermomix next week, I'm very excited ;D I am a mother to beautiful 18mth old little boy, and married to a soldier. I'm a sahm plus I'm a birthworker (I'm studying to become a homebirth doula (my son was born at home) as well as studying to be a breastfeeding counsellor), I recognise a couple of names from Joyous Birth *waves* Um, I think that's about it in a nutshell. See you around the boards ;)

Welcome to you and your beautiful little boy Ayla, have fun with your Thermomix when you get it.
-
Hi Ayla, nice to meet you :)
-
hi ayla, welcome to the group - bet you can't wait til next week!!!!
-
Thankyou for the welcomes :)
-
Welcome from Perth Ayla.
Do you and your husband travel around Australia with his work or are you permanently based in Brisbane?
-
We're Brisbanites and hubby joined in 2005 and our first posting was to Brisbane so we've been pretty lucky so far :D
-
Welcome Ayla,
I know that you will enjoy your machine. It's a huge learning curve - well it has been for me!!!!! Old habits die hard!!!!!!

Welcome - sure you will find the site helpful - all the more because it has so many helpful people contributing now and lots of new ideas. ;D ;D
-
I was hoping to hear from my TMX contact tonight to say that it has arrived but alas, no. Maybe tomorrow. I can't stop thinking about it, I just want it NOW, lol.
-
i'm so glad we got ours on the spot! lol
-
I got it today, hurrah! She recommended picking out 10 recipes to try to get a feel for it so I'm going to flip through the book now and make a list :D
-
Welcome to the CLUB - secret handshakes all round !!! ;) ;) ;)
-
Welcome Ayla. I'm Cathy and I live in Brisbane too. Enjoy your new addition to the kitchen. I've found this forum to be very inspiring and motivating to try new things.
-
yippee ayla!!
what have you made so far? ;D
-
We went out last night to get ingredients for a number of things we want to do, but ended up just making the mushroom risotto (with semi dried tomatoes and bacon added), it was so quick and easy and delicious! I have to go out soon to my mothers group so I'm going to whizz up the herb and garlic dip to take along ;D
-
Go Ayla, tweaking your first recipe - you have learnt a lot already 8). Sounds like hubby is going to get involved in the cooking too.
-
Fantastic Ayla, I hope the TMX is meeting all your expectations.
-
Lol oh yeah my hubby is totally into it. He's already talked it up at work and took a brochure to a workmate who was interested. I found it amusing to envision two Army blokes raving on about a kitchen appliance :D
-
it has real man appeal! :D i think it must the whole design thing - it's not some flimsy plastic thing that seems like it's just for doing girly things ;)
-
Hi Ayla ;D Bet you're too busy in the kitchen to be posting much tonight LOL!
-
I find it interesting that guys really seem to be into the TMX. Perhaps because it's so eay to use, I don't know. ??? ???
-
Boys and their toys maybe :D
-
You could be right. My DH likes things that he can see how they work. Hence he HATES computers. He is a lover of cars and is hoping to get a 1928 Model A Ford to restore any day. Dirt and rust everywhere.
-
That will keep him out of trouble and you can spend more time in the kitchen and on the forum ;D
-
Ayla, you are still being very quiet!
I guess that means that you are cooking up a storm!! What have you made?
-
Not really, I have house guests keeping me busy atm ;) They leave on Tuesday, but the TMX has been a big help so far!
-
Hi Ayla; I'm in Brisbane too. I just got my "thermie" last week and I'm excited, too. I can't stop cooking. Hope you're still enjoying it.
-
How is life going?? Hope things are returning to normal - or as normal as they can. :-*
-
Things are getting better, was in a bit of a funk there for a while. Thanks :)
-
Nice to see you back Ayla, you have never been far from my mind and I've really missed your postings. So much has happened on this forum since you were last an active member (but then again maybe you have been keeping an eye on it but just not contributing) and you will certainly notice how the numbers have grown and all the lovely new recipes. Let us know how you have been going with your machine.
-
Good to hear :-* :-*
-
Hi and welcome back Ayla. It's lovely to hear/read from you again.
-
Hi Ayla! I 'know' you from another forum! ;D
Looking forward to reading about your thermomix adventures.
