Thanks everyone, you are very kind. We were a group of 3. The other lady and I are sharing all the things we are feeling. Her DH was a Vietnam conscript and copped a lot of agent orange so they elected not to have children. Very sad all round.

A doctor's visit this morning, all good now.  Also had a flu jab and a 4th Covid jab.

So pleased snake has gone thanks to DH . Waiting for another one but as that warm weather has passed , unlikely. Watched DS hockey game on Friday night , not to cold . All had a great chat regarding the ball , party party is all I can say , everyone so pleased to be out having fun . Boys out finishing off burning stubble yesterday . Inoculating Lupins today ready to plant . Been keeping up the firewood to the back door . Nearly had a fall , wheelbarrow full going backwards tripped over a log , thankfully just jarred my whole body , but here comes winter and not my favourite pastime lifting wood .

Take care KAtie. A friend was carting a pile of fence palings in his wheelbarrow, tripped, they fell out and took all the skin off the calf of his leg. He was in hospital and had to have grafts. Not fun.
I did some housework today.

Thanks again for all the nice thoughts and wishes for Ral. Has had a nasty reaction to the second Chemo dose. His treatment and care consumes most of the day, but it is good that he is home. Both hospitals In Ballarat are closed to visitors.
I manage a little cooking. I am becoming reacquainted with the 31. It needs a service. Kneading function doesn’t work. I mixed the dough for No Fuss bread on reverse for 2 minutes. DD oven is an old Ilve. I baked a loaf of bread to test the oven. Was ok.  Think we will come to an understanding.
The house prep for sale is coming along but  can only spend time there when someone is with Ral. Mostly weekends. Because of this, we aim to sell at the end of August.

Lovely to hear from you Chookie. It is only natural that Ral consumes most of your day, even if you only sit and hold his hand. I'm sorry to read that he had a nasty reaction to the second chemo dose. Poor fella.
Sending hugs over to both of you.

Chookie great to hear from you , sorry to hear Rals reaction to chemo . As said being with him and holding his hand is the best . A lot going on there for you both . Keep warm chilly blast here. Cannot see any  snow on the mountains but I’m sure there is . Wind hail rain . DH said it’s bitter out there . Lightening and very loud thunder .

Thanks for the update Chookie, I have posted it on the Forum Fun FB page. Cancer treatment is horrid and all you can do is be there to support and spoil our gorgeous Ral, everything else will fall into place in time. Winter probably isn’t the best time to sell a house anyway, especially in Ballarat. Love and hugs to you both.

Bess, thanks so much for taking some of your precious time to keep in touch.  I have been thinking of you and Ral daily and hoping he is still at home.  That chemo reaction must have been so hard for you both.

The house prep is a huge job but I you can only do what you can do, just take care of yourself.

Keep warm and well. DH and I send love and hugs to you both.

Probate has been granted to DH to administer  his Mother's estate. As FIL and DB were listed in the will to be executors he had to prove that they were deceased. It didn't hold things up too much. This morning we had a drive down to Shoalwater to start the recovery of MIL's bond payment. It was a pleasant drive as we hadn't been down that way since early March.
