Was looking to have GC to stay for a week but a child infected with COVID in GS class.  They are not coming. Disappointed.
Cookie that is really very exciting for your DD. Nothing. Like a newly built home.
K Atie, enjoy your kittens.  They grow so quickly.

Kittens up on front legs, the little black one wobbled walked this morning. Tommy doesnít let us have them out for long . DS topping the thistles with the slasher on the tractor. Also DS decided to start dismantling the round trampoline!! The net has gone but it is still in good condition, asking DS to sell it but he is hesitant to think it will sell !

Oh Chookie how disappointing for all of you.

I did the ironing this morning before it got hot. Not a lot this afternoon.

What a shame Chookie, we make plans then something comes along again to spoil them.
Today Iíve been out for brunch for SILís birthday with his family. The restaurant was absolutely full and the meals were great.

Forgot to add yesterday I got together with a few friends and we are knitting a blanket for our DF that has cancer , she is the most lovely person well they had all done heaps and we placed all the rectangles !! On a bed to lay them out ,pinned order of numbers on them to sew together. We talked all afternoon. Knowing this is extremely hard time but the love is in her blanket and we hope that it is cathartic for all . Life lessons are continuous.

That is a lovely thing to do KAtie.  I'm sure your friend will cherish that blanket made with love for her from her friends.

Hi everyone.  Just thought Iíd pop in and say hello  :)

I hope everyone is well and staying safe.  Richard and I are both well.  I bought a TM6 a month or so ago (when they had the second bowl deal).  I still have my TM5 and my TM31.  Richard tells me I donít need 3 Thermomixers and whilst I 100% agree with him, I donít think I can part with any of them. Iím enjoying the TM6.  Havenít had the time or inclination to try and put my own recipe on as yet. I tried making honeycomb and it was so hard I thought I was going to break my teeth on it (not sure what I did there).

Yesterday we had our neighbours from both sides over for a pre-Xmas drinks and nibbles.  I had made Chookieís Portuguese custard tarts for dessert.  Everyone was too full for dessert (I still canít stop over catering!) so they took the custard tarts home with them.  Iíve had text messages from both neighbours today telling me there were utterly delicious!  Thanks Chookie!

Recipes from the forum are still my favourite TMX recipes  :D

Katie lovely to hear from you. Glad you and Richard are ok. Ral sends his regards. Glad your guests enjoyed the Tarts. I now roll several sheets of pastry into rolls and freeze them, ready to be cut into rings.  I also make the custard a day or two ahead.

KAtie, enjoy the kittens as they will grow quickly. We have a new lot of ducklings. Ral goes down every night and feeds them.  This lot started at 18 and have been 13 now for a couple of weeks.  The mother and father are very protective. The previous set, which started at 8 are down to 3.
The pink water lilies look lovely.

I went for my 6 monthly check up this morning. Nothing to be cut out which is lovely, but I had a lot of bits burnt off.
