Katj I really laughed at your review of the outing, especially the unglued bit!
Thanks everyone, I will be following doctors orders to the letter. DD has put a pile of books on the lounge in the family room so as I finish one I can move onto the next. DH made sure my iPad was fully charged too. They are very good to me and naturally tease me mercilessly, however that is my family and I love them for it.
DH put the washing on before he left.
The doctor said there is no reason to delay our Darwin trip and I agree with him. It isn't until 9th May and I expect to be much better then.

Chookie fingers crossed that the wife loves Cherokee. As everyone has said, how could you not?

My letter to make a booking for the same has been sitting next to the phone for a week Denise, must do something about it soon.  I thought it might have been my last but I believe they are going to continue after you turn 70 here.

What have you been doing today?

Same here Judy. I'm due for mine a little later this year. We had our flu needles and the doctor checked my foot and suggested a moon boot would be a good idea. We had a left foot one DD got when she broke her foot. I hate it, I can't walk in it and fear I will fall over. I've watched a couple of you tube videos and they don't really give good advice. Please, does anyone know how to walk in a moon boot?  It's heavy and my foot is aching more than it has done since I broke it. Now I have whinged and carried on, sorry. I'd rather go barefoot and hobble round. It's my good leg too and my bad hip/ leg doesn't like doing all the work.
Oh well ,mustn't be a pain. I just want to cook. I think I will anyway. Here's a little chuckle.    Me and my newer best friend.

Cookie moonboot is much better than.crutches.  I was on crutches for a few weeks last year and it is hopeless. You can't carry anything and if you make a cuppa it's impossible to make it back to the couch in one piece!

You poor soul, Cookie.  I've never had to use a moon boot but perhaps you could check out a new one, it might be lighter ... it might not be, though.  It would be a concern if it is throwing out your bad leg and maybe exacerbating your problems there.

Cookie, do you have to wear that boot. .?
I broke a bone in my foot just when we shifted into Cherokee. The Doctor said there was not much they could do for it but put one of those stretchy bandages on it. Told to keep it up and off it. Could be a different bone so would need different treatment. I had dropped a brick on my foot. Very painful.
At Cherokee and TMX is now at Invermay.  Need bread so made 1 minute overnight loaf. Have been so spoilt by the TMX and the kneading.
Also made Mayo, used the Bamix stick mixer. Must say it made a beautiful Mayo.

Chookie you manage to get your cooking done regardless, well done.

I agree Chookie. I'm not going to wear the moon boot today, my non broken leg gave me heaps last night. Just rest it. The first doctor said they couldn't do anything, as it would heal regardless.

So sorry to hear that you have broken your foot Cookie.  Rest up and take it easy.

Did some sewing alterations this morning.  Shortened a skirt for a friend and shortened the sleeves on two blouses for myself.  Still have some more alterations to do later on.

2 GD's coming on Monday to try their hand at making night shirts.  Could be an interesting day :-)) :-))

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
