I went out with family for SILís birthday, chose garlic prawns which were easy to eat but the sauce was lacking in garlic so was a bit bland. Served with very undercooked veggies which I didnít expect as it is usually accompanied by rice.. Back to DDís for a smorgasbord of desserts to choose from. It was a very hot day yesterday but by the time we came out of the hotel it was freezing, luckily I took a cardigan just in case but most of them didnít.

How wonderful Chookie, what a surprise that must have been.
Best seats in the house for any concerts in the park, not your type of music but great to watch from the activities from a safe distance.

Do you use a roll of puff pastry or pastry sheets for that recipe Marina, how many pastry sheets are needed please.

No cooking here today - I had a long nap this afternoon. I was watching a thermomix thing on my iPad and fell asleep watching it. 😀😀😀

That looks a very nice recipe Marina, Iíve printed it out in case the kids are here for Christmas Day - not sure what theyíre doing yet but DD would love this.  I love checking out your recipes with her (and sometimes me) in mind. I remember going over to that site before too.

I just cooked up all the veggies I had on hand today, steamed them in the varoma and made a parsley/cheesy sauce on the stovetop whilst they were cooking. I had some for dinner tonight, itís been a while since I cooked up some veggies and it wasnít too bad at all. 3 ramekins in the freezer and another meal in the fridge for tomorrow.

It sounds like youíve settled in nicely Chookie. At our age, those cleaning times sound perfect to me so enjoy all the free time youíre going to have. I hope you find something that will get that stain out of the verandah, thatís not good at all.

The sherry would have taken it to a different level cookie, alcohol in cooking is great!

Thanks ladies. Cookie I made the panettone recipe on here many years ago and took them to my neighbours whilst they were still warm. It was lovely, leftovers make great B & B puddings too. Love your mini, mini ones.
