Title: Forum Thermomix- Introduction of New Rules
Post by: Master Moderator on September 20, 2012, 10:17:41 pm
Hi all,

I have added a few new rules here.  This is to protect the Thermomix Brand. None are drastic, so do not worry. As always, a large and successful community must adapt from time to time.

The new rules have been introduced in Point 5. I will paste them below.

Any questions, please get back to the moderators or myself.

Thanks for your attention.. Keep mixing:

Admin

5. Advertising and commercial information, including competitor products

5.1.This forum is not a place for free advertising. Messages that contain links to informative sites are allowed and encouraged. Messages with pure commercial content or links (URL’s) to commercial selling sites are not allowed and will be removed.

5.2 The exception to rule 5.1 are OFFICIAL Thermomix related products,; including books, accessories, courses.

5.3 It is forbidden to mention prices in this forum. If people want to know prices, then please use private messages to each other. We reserve the right to amend this rule at any time, without giving notice. You may however quote prices on food/drink, recipes, and other general daily living products, that do not directly affect Thermomix and it's accessories.

5.3 Nicknames that contain competitor product names will not be approved in the forum. It is seen as advertising.

5.4 Links and posts concerning direct competitor (non Thermomix) product sites, courses, recipes, meet ups etc are not allowed and will be removed.

5.5 You MAY chat about other competitor products, to give opinons and experiences. Posts on this subject will be closely monitored. Any that are deemed to be of commercial nature or biased against Thermomix, shall be removed.

PS. I also added at the top the following:

Please not that this is a non-official Thermomix Forum. This has been created by a fan of the product. This forum has no official recommendation from Vorwerk.

Thanks

Ummm, well, it just sort of happened by accident!

When I take a "screen shot" on my Galaxy Tab, the photo editing software automatically pops up and the draw feature is enabled.

I assume other tabs (iPads etc) can do the same.....
1) just take the screen shot (Galaxy Tabs its the 4th icon from the left at the bottom, and iPads I think you press the home key and power button at the same time -I know Gert mentioned exactly what to do in the Ipad tips and tricks thread)
2) open photo editing software
3) find a draw feature
4) draw what you want with your finger
5) save!

You can draw on photos using your PC and the simple paint program too. If it's useful for anyone, I can give more detailed instructions.

I saw the froothie ad yesterday and wondered about the conflict of interest. I would have assumed that MM had to approve all ads that get posted on this website. I had a look at the froothie ad and its seems like ****

The ads are part of google Adsense, you dont get to approve each one as such, but you have some control over the types of ads that appear and can block any offending ones:  http://adsense.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/more-flexible-controls-with-site-level.html

Yea I checked the link too, and agree about the **** Cream Puff
