Is there a version of her wraps recipe on the forum anywhere? All references I've come across lead back to a dead page on her blog...???
Thx
Gillian

We had this last night for the first time. I'm a bot slow on the uptake :P. it was lovely. I only made a half quantity for the 3 of us. It will definitely be made many more times.

We have tried many strog recipes and we haven't really like them until now, this is amazing! Thankyou so much for sharing.

I used pizza sauce instead of tomato paste as that's all we had and also had no mushrooms but it was divine! Have just shared the recipe with all my thermie friends :-)

Finally got around to making this recipe and I have to agree with everyone, it is delicious.

I made the full recipe but only had 350g sirloin steak thawed and sorry Chelsea, I bought the mushrooms before checking the recipe so ended up using large buttons (only 170g) but I soaked 8g porcini mushrooms for added flavour along with 1 MC of the soaking liquid.  I thought there might be too much liquid in the finished dish but I took a leaf out of Nico's book and cooked it the whole time with the MC off.  I cooked it for an extra 5 minutes, my sirloin was cut into 3cm chunks. Once cooled, the consistency was great and it reheated that way too.

Thanks Chelsea, with all the different flavours added to this recipe (I left out the cayenne and used a fresh sprig of thyme), it had to taste good.  Picture not so good due to heating the rice & strog up on the plate on which it was to be served.  :-))

I don't use the Ceyenne either Judy, but use 3 Tblsp. Worcester. Sauce.
Often I have to cook the meat an extra 10-15mins.
It's still a favourite here  :)

I did an extra 5 minutes maddy, my chunks were at least 3cm.

We haven't had this for a while. I should have made it before I used up all my mushrooms.

I don't believe I've ever made this yet.  With so many great reviews I will get on to that next week!

Looks really good Judy.  :D
