I have had my Thermomix about 3 years now, use it almost daily, and when necessary I give the front where the digits are printed, a wipe over with a damp cloth. I am beginning to notice some of the numbers around the dial, and the clock symbol have almost disappeared, really faded and rubbed away.
I never expected this to happen with an expensive piece of equipment like Thermomix and am wondering if anyone else has this problem.

My machine is 5 years old Bimby Girl and there is no sign of fading. I'm sure you could have that panel replaced, have you contacted HO in regard to this problem. I know it was bought in Germany but I see no reason why a technician cannot replace the panel for you at a cost. Perhaps even Vorwerk themselves may be able to help you.

Thanks Judy Dawn, never thought about the panel being replaced, that's a good idea.
Its not affecting my use at the moment, but I will contact Vorwerk if it gets worse.

Mine is exactly the same. The numbers have been fading for about the last year. I was planning to write them on when they get to the point I can't really see them. I assumed that it was just something I would have to put up with although I was surprised that it was happening. My machine is also about three years old so maybe they had a bad batch of front plates.

I'm having the same problem, mainly the 8,9 and 10. Slowly fading for the last 6 months or so, my machine is nearly 3 years old too. Been meaning to contact my consultant.

it is happening to mine as well, though l after 6 years they are still all readable. I thought it was from rubbing in the carry bag when I was a consultant. I have suggested that they should perhaps be embossed on that panel, would also help visually impaired people use the TMX with ease ;)

My - sign for timing is rubbing off. So far the rest is ok.

2 of mine are rubbing off two. my thermie is 4 years old next month.

I guess it shows lots of use, and where we rest our hands while programming.

Many of my numbers and the symbols for interval speed etc. are almost completely gone. Did anyone find out if we can replace the front face plate?

I haven't worried about mine TracyM179. If you are concerned give head office a ring or ask your consultant. 1800 004 838. The rubber is also wearing out on mine, but then they do get pushed a lot.

Nothing rubbing off here.
