We're having chicken satays, satay sauce and veggies tonight.

We had a quiche using shortcrust pastry from the EDC and Quinoa Salad from QFEO.

I went to check the reviews before making the salad but there weren't any. I was a bit disappointed with the large amount of liquid in the quinoa at the end. I didn't want to post my review in the right place as it would be the first review and if I give areas for improvement in reviews, I like to be doubly sure I've followed the recipe to the T! I might try it again tomorrow. Alyce suggests to soak the quinoa overnight, so I soaked it for about 8 hours and I think in that time, there was no more space for the liquid to be absorbed, leaving extra liquid in the TMX bowl....so next time (maybe even tomorrow) I'll try again without soaking the quinoa at all.
Any ideas?
I looked at making the recipe but stopped short because of the need to soak overnight. Was hoping someone would review it first too. I am no quinoa expert but have never soaked it, just rinsed. And i have cooked it perfectly in the tmx. When I try this recipe, I will not soak it now and see how it turns out.

Great pasties Maddy.

We had MF's beef rendang and oh boy, it was fabulous. Great recipe MF.

Yes Kimmy, I'd love to hear how you go. I want to try it again soon because the flavours were yummy and the ingredients are usually in the house, it was just a little too liquidy for my liking (and didn't look fluffy like the picture). Maybe I'll try it tonight.

Lovely looking pasties Maddy.

The GD's have requested Tuna Mornay tonight, so tuna mornay it is.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
